I'm happy that this bug got fixed, but i didn't tried the update yet(it just released). Instead I want to talk about the game without that bugfix.
I've encountered this bug in two regions: desolate tract and coral caves.
Desolate tract was such a interesting experience.
The entire region was empty, giant tunnels which make slugcat so much tiny in comparison, wind and suddenly melons growing everywhere. there was no creatures, it looked like a real liminal space in my rain world game!! I had a feeling that this is can't be an ordinary region, i don't think about some creature watching me, but a felt a bit kind of lonely sometimes or something. alone.
When I was leaving desolate tract, the cycle was ending and I followed a creature from the orb. At the end i got to the echo at the last second and excaped.
Coral caves is... unique.
This was one of the last regions i haven't visited in my campaign. At the moment I got here, it was clear that this shouldn't be like that. I clearly understand that this is a bug. The atmosphere were strange. no one was there, except me. It was so safe in here, maybe too much safe. the only creatures jellyfish and leaches.
Then I got scared and immediately leaved from this place. At some point i revisited it and explored it better.
Also, I experienced bug with the portals spawning next to sealed portals. Also, I today just lost a pearl from fetid glen, because my tracking key items setting was disabled but was displayed as enabled(or maybe this was a bug that got fixed in the same patch as empty regions, i was taking it from a shelter and dropped on the ground midway(i hate the thing that you being constantly blacking out after interacting with basilisk lizard)).

I only got one question: does desolate tract still look like liminal spaces?
