Need help desperately

I am stuck between these two rooms in the pipeyard, I spawn in the middle of them, one has me locked in with a monster kelp that keeps dragging me down before I can escape and the other is infested with centipedes that keep shocking me before I can get to the exit and I don’t want this run to be a dud after six hours on my first play through. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get out of this situation?

I assume you do not have a passage?

if you do, then simply using the passage (done by clicking the button on the bottom left of the sleep screen and selecting a shelter you previously slept in to fast travel back to it) is always an option if you feel like you're stuck

that's what they're there for!

if not, I have a follow up question- how would you describe your ability at combat?

I am pretty bad and only have access to maybe one spear in this area

Another thing I forgot to mention there is also zero food in this area unless I were to kill one of the baby bugs

Yeah, I did look on the wiki for the adult centipedes to see if there was something I could use to get past them and I now know that they can’t see you if you’re crouching but the giant one is usually blocking the exit and if I touch it, it will see me

let's try to think outside the box here

you can't sneak past it

you can't kill it

however, maybe there's something about the mechanics of the game you can use?

there's always more than one way to approach a problem in this game, so I wouldn't say that you have to kill the centipede

I think I will try to lure it into the other exit and then go back through after it follows me

Although there are two adults in there, one is just much smaller than the other

I remember it being a bit tamer

here's a rather silly idea- maybe try sitting in your shelter for half the cycle, and then see if the centis roam around into more favorable positions?

I’m just going to try hibernating again, I managed to get enough food off of one of the babies and the medium sized one is just camping around the corner and I know I can’t kill it or scared it off with an item

Ok new problem, I managed to make it to the next room and there is almost nothing in my way now as far as I know, but I don’t think this is possible without some crazy movement tech

I’m going to try to find a spare spear. I just remembered they can be used for platforms

Do you think there’s any easy way to unlock a fast travel point right now? The only one I have gotten is the survivor one I think.

I have tried to make it through that room, but unfortunately, I would need multiple spears and I’ve only been able to find one

it turns out that if you hit one with a spear, it gets stunned long enough for me to make it past!
