it has really similiar vibes to Submerged Superstructure
but I think it's executed much better
there's more bubble weed
the dark ambience is great
there are lots of salamanders
just, they nailed the atmosphere perfectly for me

but basically I'm fucking stupid and I love filling out the map
but because the Rain World map fills itself out based on your position, I often spend a lot of time just going in the corners of rooms to have it fully filled out
(I can't wait to finish the Watcher so I can finally allow myself to use the mod that automatically fills out the map for each room)
idk, it just feels like a "waste" when it isn't filled out properly
and it looks prettier and more complete
this often backfires horribly
but it's worth it every time 🥹
SHORT BACKSTORY TIME

I didn't send a clip of it, but I got killed by a Salamander in this cycle
and the thing is I had the chance to kill it at the beginning of the cycle
that's when I decided to murder its entire family tree
this is only the beginning of a long war

anyway, I can't stop finding sick shelters
this one is so cool, feels like Silent Construct

I love how they are able to make the screen shake
each time I see one it feels like it's about to rain

eventually, no rooms were left to explore
one cool thing to note though: there was a small room, to the left of the big room at the right part of the region, where a weird and eery music played

anyway, after dying I got back in the region, since there was nothing left to explore in Salination
I really started to feel lost at this point
I followed the wind a bit, and got to the room where I had met Spinning Top

I just seriously never expect them 
Back to The Prince
after a series of random teleports, I got back to Outer Rim
so I walked the very familiar path to The Throne
The Prince dropped some lore
I'm not sure what it's talking about. from what I understand, The Prince is something new, different from "their" ancestors who were insane
who are "they" though?
could it be other creatures that had to do with the Rot?
maybe that could explain why the Rot in the Watcher is so much different compared to Vanilla/Downpour
not only because of blue vs. purple
but because in the Watcher, the Rot is spreading fast
and to creatures as well
the one in the base game is different
it's caused by an accident of an Iterator
and the Watcher does seem to take place after Five Pebbles got the Rot
considering we can visit his remains inf Unfortunate Evolution
still, most of my questions remain unanswered

very scary to see this region rotten too.. at this point, I think most of the regions are
I don't know why but this was so funny. I was barely able to make out what that creature wast

anyway, I was underwhelmed because I thought the region had a bigger left part to explore
but it was just a shortcut to the upper part

so yeah, as usual, I enjoyed my long stroll towards the top of The Throne, tasting delicious Rotberries and Rottycorn
The Prince
this is interesting, and it tells me more about why the Rot is spreading so much
"I have tasted and I have become" is a funny line
so yeah, "The Paths you Weave"
it's talking about the Portal
but I?m unsure wheters it means simply travelling through them
or creating new ones
I can't think of other interactions I can have with Portals, so it's one of the two probably
its vision is to unite all the world... all creatures equal to each other, all joined in the same substrate.... that's pretty much the Rot's objective..?
god, I'm so intrigued yet so confused
to every answer I get, I have more questions
anyway, after sheltering in the nearby shelter and eating a Karma Flower, I followed @distant bobcat's suggestion and tried dying in the room where it happens, to see if The Prince had some special dialogue like Five Pebbles does in Rivulet

so we left in the Throne shelter
I didn't really know what to do, so I decided to check Rusted Wrecks after a long time

it's here that I realized how exactly the Rot spread through regions, with the help of my friend
I have to be in a room that already has rot in it, and then warp to a different one
which, makes a lot of sense

I'm pretty sure I've explored every region in the game at this point
all of them are Rotten, except for Shattered Terrace, Ancient Urban and Daemon, which I'm pretyt confident they can't be rotten

I actually felt excited to walk that long way towards The Throne
I really have come so far
When I was climbing The Throne, the music playing was different
It sounded more peaceful
So I entered the room
The Rot consumed.
As you might expect, the ending gave me even more questions, because of course

I'm so confused about so many thing; I'll try to list the most important questions that I have. (I don't want an answer)
- What are Warp Portals?
- Why can The Watcher time travel? (Ancient Urban, Vanilla regions...)
- What the fuck is Daemon?
- What are the Purple Floaters?
- What are those giant worms in Unfortunate Evolution?
- Why does The Watcher start in Industrial Complex, and why do they then get warped somewhere completely different?
I'm pretty sure most questions will remain unanswered

makes me think that I ascended
this all seems to be pointing out at the Rot being a means to ascend
Karma Flowers are really important here
they have the Karma 10 cross on them just like the Rot does
and The Prince was talking about their kingdom
and how everyone in it is equal, from bug to god
their desire, (and somebody's else desire, the ones who "created" The Prince???), is to unify everything
for a greater ascension

we know about a few ways

I already heard that Watcher's threat themes were layered poorly

there are so many extremely beautiful layers that you literally never get to hear in-game
I installed a few mods I'll play with, including one that aims to improve the threat layering

so I gave up and sheltered, and The Weaver was gone
