there are just so many regions to explore

and the fact I can choose to go to whichever one I want is so cool

and yet, I haven't used that ability at all

feels like I have too much freedom

why are the Portals there?

I just can't understand how the Vanilla map is connected to these regions

this is unfair

also these big worms are back! great food source, and nice too see they changed color

jokes aside, it seems this place is highly technological

there's fluctuating gravity, which was insane

and I really like these "friers"

it's a chool mechanic and more forgiving than the zap coils in the Superstructures

this place feels like there was activity though, maybe built by the Ancients?

I went in a circle in those 4 rooms

the music was really cool

and I eventually found a shelter and rested

then I tried going down, but I needed the float ability but didn't have enough Karma

and got a bit mad, so I decided to Warp...

Back into Outer Rim

this is so ugly...

by the way, if you're wondering

I went left towards The Throne again

because skye said there was something important

and he told me it because I just wanted to teleport out of Outer Rim with the ability

and he said I'm not supposed to be able to do that, but I can. he said that when he first played the Watcher before the 1.5 update you were forced to go to The Throne multiple times

so is this really just an oversight of the game?

but oh well, I trust him so I went to The Throne

an Echo, probably, was speaking... this is really scary and confusing

after getting on top, I went down again too see another transition was there

it seems to be depicting from right to left: Five Pebbles, Looks to the Moon, No Significant Harrasment, and another one I'm not sure of

to be honest, NHS and LTTM also look a bit off. moon doesn't have her red circle on the forehead

and technically he's also the only Iterator I've met so far, Unfortunate Evolution

so yeah, I didn't record many many clips but trust me, this lower part of the region had me SUFFERING. Underhang-levels of suffering

after getting the arena unlock for the weird worms I finally met the Spider once again

and found another fire shelter

I sheltered in Thermal Relay

so now the golden particles are on this region as well, interesting. whatever that means

this time I had the float ability available

so I went down and to the right

until I finally met an Echo yet again

I'm getting closer to something important.

Stormy Coast

I heard this name before

and skye said this is one of his favorite regions

the threat music is the same as Torrential Railways and Shrouded Stacks

and the vibe is obviously really similiar to Torrential Railways

I was also pleasantly surprised noticing that my float became smoother

this is so cool.

AND I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS LIGHTNING MECHANIC

hell yeah gambling

the graffiti in this region are so cute

I also found a cute shrimp and a turtle

so anyway, I died

and that's where I quit

even though Heat Ducts made me suffer a lot, I really loved that region, and the last section with the electricity and the fluctuating gravity was fascinating

also I reached "Karma 8"

I suppose at 10 something important will happen

and also, the symbols are pretty

additionally, the Echo dialogue in Thermal Relay made me think

what if all the Echoes I've met are actually just the same Echo

and what if it's not even an actual Echo

I think that could make sense

but I'm not sure

I just know I will get answers if I keep being persistent

I truly can't wait

maybe I'm gonna play a bit more now, Stormy Coast is waiting for me!

wow. new ability. and it got me really confused!

so apparently I'm in this Ripple Realm

and I can't interact with the real world

but damn, this is extremely cool

this left me so excited. a cutscene, the first one since the beginning!

I didn't understand much from it

so I'll limit my appreciation to the music for now

I'm so glad they put them in this region, they fit really well

they felt underused in Downpour

as soon as I entered I felt a nostalgic wave somehow. something in the plants felt so close to vanilla

well, the big sewage system didn't

but I was happy to find two new creatures

there are many reasons why Rain World is my favorite game

I appreciate the uniqueness

I love the feeling of the world

the creatures

the enviromental storytellling

I love the movement

I love the music

I know this campaign isn't over yet, but it really touched me already

the emotions this game can give are incredible

feeling lost

confused

why is the world different? why is there rot everywhere? why are there portals?

tons of new regions

tons of new creatures

tons of new mechanics

at times it felt like another game than Rain World

and god, the moment I saw the Ancients

it's like the game suddenly wanted to remind me just how many memories I have made thanks to this game

I wasn't expecting to find them

to be teleported to a time where Rain World wasn't even a "Rain" World yet

and to be able to meet one of them

even though I still don't know how

or why

I met Spinning Top

I still don't know what's up with the Rot

I warped to Shrouded Stacks, and I was very close to the portal to The Surface, so I sheltered and immediately went there

since I didn't explore that one yet

so I assume Tundra Fault is a subregion of course

I really like the vibe tbh

anyway, I didn't explore much of this, as I immediately found another Warp Portal

guess where it lead? to Daemon, of course!

Tundra Fault

I decided to actually go and explore the lower part of this place

poppy corn!

that's the longest popcorn plant I've ever seen

It also took me a stupidly long time to figure out I was FREEZING

I mean, I ain't complaining. this mechanic is fitting and was very underused (only in saint), so I'm glad we get to see it again

they sure have a blizzard around them

Tundra Fault - The Surface

grass flower

okay so

I'm just exploring these rooms

there are so many Rotten Lizards...

I was so Close, yet so Far...

I must admit, I've really enjoyed this part. All these interconnected rooms were great, I loved the mushrooms, all of the rot lizards, the scavengers, the blizzards...

I played yesterday night, from 11pm to 3am

and exploring this area felt kinda cozy

even though I kept dying over and over again

got my ass saved by a Green Lizard

no idea how I survived this LLL

this is so chaotic I love it

I tried taming this particular purple lizard long legs with an eggbus at the sstart of the cycle, so the fact it kept following me made me think I actually tamed it for a moment

after struggling a lot, I finally managed to reach the shelter

I had to share the street with my neighbour

my neighbour doesn't like me very much.

the Rot is getting worse and worse 😭

reminder that I express my opinions and share my thought in clips as well, they aren't just funny moments or clutches

I followed the Purple Spider, and I was welcomed back again into this funny region by silly creatures

Short stop to Heat Ducts

I quickly took the Warp Portal and went to Heat Ducts

those two rooms literally were the only rooms I hadn't explored of that region

but I immediately came back to Torrid Desert

and that's when I realized that now I'm even more powerful and I don't get weakened by using portals

in the beinning, if I warped it took away like half of my stamina

so that's cool

and just walking alongside these giant creatures felt really cool

Cold Storage

so this is really interesting. I had already been in this region for literally 5 minutes, before going to Unfortunate Evolution

this place looks like they experimented

I don't know who

I don't know how

I don't know why

but there are lab tanks

and they even have caged creatures

this is so interesting

I found another cool shelter similiar to the Aether Ridge one

(it's worth noting this region's threat music has the same base as Aether Ridge's)

(and then the Rot layers make it sound different and distorted, which is really cool)

this place was infested with Rot even in the beginning though

I have reasons to believe they somehow experimented with the Rot here

which could explain why this regions connects to Unfortunate Evolution

(of course, I'm still totally clueless as to why we can even access Five Pebbles, since we can't do the same for Looks to the Moon)

and got really scared

but then I remembered this was just the subregion of The Surface I still had to explore

so I explored it all

more rot lizards, yayyy

and a really cool Lamp Outpost to protect me from the cold

again, the Ripple ability is so useful

I continued exploring these rooms and nearly died to the cold

but I was saved thanks to these lanterns

I went up, and found a Warp Portal

that's a lot of snow

this makes sense, I remember finding this portal and not using it

wow.

this is extremely interesting

I already saw this guy on an official merch advertisement

so I know it's caled the Prince

and the name fits considering we are in The Throne and he talked about "my kingdom"

AND

he stems, like a flower, from that gian rot orb

(the achievement being called The Blossom makes sense)

because the Rot has been spreading to more regions

AND WHY THE HELL DOES HE CALL ME FRIEND AND ACT LIKE I'VE VISITED HIM ALREADY

ngl, I thought it was gonna be a good guy

but if he is the prince of Rot, whatever that means, he did way more than just hurting me

the Anglers are really cool

they remind me of Pressure (Roblox game)
