Note: Comments are welcome :3 Just no spoiling any region I've not been through.
So, I've been playing a whole lot of rainworld the last couple of months. I put it down for a year after trying it and then picked it back up at the urging of a friend back in August. This time it clicked.
And now, after getting one ending on every campaign, I'm her with Inv, struggling through it.
I am playing with a couple mods:
SBCameraScroll - I just hate the screen transitions
AimAnywhere - This one def makes things easier, I wont lie, but feels natural.
What's in my pocket - Just visuals is nice
ScoreGalore - Scores ya
Staminizer - Stamina meter is nice when starve cycling.
Additionally, I am playing with monk style gates.
The route I intend to take is:
Shaded Citadel (echo) -> Shoreline -> Garbage Wastes -> Drainage Systems -> Outskirts -> Industrial -> Chimney (echo) -> Exterior -> 5 Pebbles -> Exterior, (echo) -> Chimney -> Industrial -> Pipeyard -> Sky islands (echo) -> Farm Arrays (echo) -> Subteranean -> End
This way I'll have at least visited all zones.
Shaded Citadel
To start off, its the shaded citadel. The extra darkness is really annoying, and going left seemed like a dead end. I tried right a couple times until I realized that the climb does not seem possible.
So back to left. We make it to the first big obstacle besides the rain w/ Miros birds, the 2 centipedes. It takes a handful of attempts in order to catch both in my blast, and a few times I drown in the rain when feeding due to how they died. Then I retreat to the nearby shelter and sleep.
Then it takes a couple more tries to get past the centipedes and the weed to get to that first vertical shelter. Yay, no more shelter failures.
I spend a while here, learning the lay of the land and eventually killing a scav to steal their lanturn. Big progress really. Once my karma is maxed, I get the Echo and then hightail it on over to Shoreline.
