if a portal thing opens i recommend going through it if it's a region that has a "???" icon, there's a known bug that not going through one that opens can sometimes cause all creature spawns to not load properly and the region will have no creatures except batflies

#

you can always just backtrack through the portal if you still want to explore the previous area, it's annoying at first but 🥹
