Congrats! If you're not immediately getting downpour dlc or dont already have it, yes that is the only and best ending for survivor. If you want you can continue on the same save file and try to get more lore through the coloured pearls or you can play hunter which is a generally harder slugcat but has a different storyline. Its up to you really so do whatever you want

Just finished my first survivor playthrough and I cried buckets and ascended, what do I do now? Is that the best ending I can get for survivor? I don’t wanna look anything up but I wanna know what I should do next because I am beyond hooked and want to buy everything ever related to this game and be in all the chats

Tysm, I haven’t yet figured out how to work pearls, but I shall, and I reckon I’m gonna start doing the monk campaign I think before Hunter, unless the monk story is the same as surv. Afterwards I’m getting the dlc and more slug cats so yay! Ps I cried during the main endi ;-;

Monk is pretty much the same as survivor's campaign with slightly different opening/ending cutscenes, but it's worth playing if you want a slightly more relaxed experience with the game (less food needed, creatures easier and in smaller numbers)
Hunter's campaign is really fun as well, just be ready for a greater challenge and the need to fight creatures much more often

Depends on what you want to do, the hunter campaign is there of course but there's also arena and sandbox, as well as some late-game ways to learn more about the game's story
The downpour and watcher dlcs are also available if you're interested in those

ok so progress update: I looked up how to use coloured pearls ( Give to npc?) because i couldnt find three to sleep with and get a clue coz im dumb - hunter is going poorly, ive been trying to escape farm arrays from the right through the scav place but they wont let me through and the only pearl i can find is coloured and i wanna keep it so i think i shall escape out the sky islands if i can :). so far, much pain but fortunately i love rainworld and when i close my eyes at night i see shiny spears on the ground waiting to be grabbed
