I've been taken to Coral Caves and Shrouded Stacks now via random warps after my 4th weaver visit, which everything I've read tells me that there are dynamic portals in these regions that I need to close
but... where?
Feels like I've been half across both and have not found any, I don't recall making dynamic warps here
Theres indicators on the map that shows closed and open portals

ive been told that after meeting with the weaver 4 times, to get the ending you need to seal all dynamic warps, and your random warp takes you to regions that have portals in need of sealing.
but twice now, tis' taken me to a region that does not have any.

yeah even with the aid of warp menu to warp to every "destination" point in the region, there are no portals in what is now the third region i've hopped to.
... what the hell does it expect me to do? I'm so lost :c
I wish getting the endings wasn't this tedious tbf

What should you do if no matter what you do
you have 2/4 portals open in Outer Rim...
and they won't seal?
I can enter them as many times as I want, come out the other end -- see the portal seal (A portal that is never there when I visit them from that region's side, only when I exit from Outer Rim)
but then when I hibernate, the line is still there from that region to Outer Rim, and the portal is always still active when I return to Outer Rim.
Did I just waste several hours grinding away for my save to break?

Torrential Railways doesn't have an unsealed portal in it, but I haven't checked Coral Caves.
if you do an up + special warp you always go somewhere you can make progress

I also notice Daemon and Outer Rim share a solid link.

This is a save (a rather early one to be frank) from before Watcher 1.5's release.
Coral Caves and Torrential Railways have a connection... but they shouldn't.
say I refer to the wiki, Coral Caves does not (anymore at least) have any connection to the region.
... but my warp map says they do.
likewise, all portals I can see on my map in Coral Caves? sealed.
Every portal I can see in Torrential Railways? sealed.
the third pillar in daemon is not lit, either, so it definitely doesn't consider me as having completed the quest...

just ignore that and seal all remaining portals

the only "Remaining portals" I can find
are in Outer Rim, and they won't close no matter how much I try.

The sole remaining solid line on my warp map is Coral Caves and Torrential Railways.
whenever I use my dynamic warp to find a place with active portals
it just takes me to a region where I have already sealed every last one
i mean.. i'll look harder, I guess. but.. it seemed pretty absolute that I had'nt missed anything.

It's SBCameraScroll. If you tried to do your dynamic warp and suddenly it cut to the weaver and nothing happens, you are bugged and it's SBCameraScroll. Turn it off! As of right now it breaks this sequence.

i found that amazing, the only part of the game with a scrolling camera
the awe was two fold.
- Rain World screen with a scrolling camera
- the fact the scrolling screen is broken by the scrolling screen mod

watcher pearl stuff: debug mode is very helpful for debugging image pearls and text pearls if it renders well
it simply removes the hologram projector effect and becomes a flat composition on the screen
also you can animate element properties

you can check the image assets used in the image and text pearls (like the fonts and stuff) in the pearlslides folder in the watcher mod folder
Yoo so excluding ||Ancient Urban|| (havent been yet), there's only ||15 coloured pearls|| across all regions and no more? I havent seen any others in my scouting

at one point i got fed up trying to retrieve pearls from badlands and get them back to signal spires to take them all through to shattered terrace so I enabled dev console and spawned the ones i had stored at badlands, mainly because the new warp ability is buggy and would never let me return through it without the game breaking, after shelter or not. but the pearl weirdness got really out of hand after spawning them so i reverted the save and just raw dogged it basically, now I have them all at shattered terrace

All the bugs ive experienced have happened both with and without mods, i tested

Not a big deal with the duplication but it just means i have to make a few more trips because im not sure which of the duplicates is the original and which ones will or will not despawn
I mean it's most likely a key item tracking thing, especially if you've been messing with dev console stuff, but yeah
realistically none of them should despawn
I have it disabled at the moment and i did revert to a backup after trying to use dev console and deciding it wasnt worth it

happens because the Key Item Tracking is weird and difficult to work with
haven't been able to trace it down, but I also didn't find a consistent way besides the one where you spit it out in a gate crossing

like, the situations that need to be considered to revert a pearl, dropped off screen, taken by scav, technically on-screen but in an unreachable spot etc
and keeping them in the exact same spots otherwise, like a new object world placement initiated by the player themselves

Anyway i wouldnt even bring it up to be honest if it werent for the fact that out of all ||15 watcher pearls||, like 2/3 of them are just different shades of purple lmao

maybe by forcing watcher to drop whatever theyre holding triggers something in key item tracking
because after moving them all from spires to terrace, using the warp maaany times, i have about 6 duplicates when there was 1-2 before

an up + special warp will always send you to a reigon you can make progress in, and whenever you warp a trail of ripplespac threads connetcs to the nearest portal. Also, weave rmight just seal some of those portals you haven't found yet for you

it usually covers most of the room, though I think it's clustered around the pipe it wants you to go through

no it's just a side effect of big rooms

there are auroras in certain larger rooms that also lead you but it's rarely visible and the extra detail probably confuses people more than just saying "look around more in large rooms"

There are some rooms that make it seem like the future version of Desolate Tract
but plenty of other rooms dont line up
It's just its own place
With some visual similarities to other regions
A lot of regions have shared motifs

but also has parts similar to Verdant waterways
It was one of the first regions i wound up in in my new 1.5 playthrough.

There were nine lizards in one single screen room at one point
The only regions rhat are very definitively future versions of other regions are
- aether ridge (heat ducts and aerial tramway] become the Surface
- Verdant becomes Fractured sometime seemingly post iterator
Yeah I mean you can tell those just from the region names
So i guess theres a definitive there

Whilst badlands isn't verdant, the fact it has one of the waterwheels from verdant as well as the locusts that would eventually inhabit Fractured makes me think Badlands might be near Verdant
That would imply that Torrid Desert is the future version of desolate tract
because
Torrid = WTDA
Desolate = WTDB
Considering the locusts yeah
I think the difference is that desolate tract is a very distinct region from Torrid... compared to Fractured which is literally just Verdant if you smashed it up

The rain event there is also a sandstorm but its definitely nowhere near BL or FG/VWW

Ive heard you can now get it somehow in 1.5 but i have no idea what the reason would be
Pearls with dialogue can only be understood with the mark
You naturally get the mark during the progression to the final ending (then you can reload after the ending and you will have it)

I've been making backups so i can get all endings
AFAIK, ending 1 has no effect and is unaffected by other endings, ending 2 (rot) cannot be gotten if meeting weaver too many times, ending 3 locks out ending 2 but cannot be locked out
I cant really imagine what a 4th ending would entail though. Any no-spoiler vague direction in that sense?
Because im thinking three endings for three entities, so how would a 4th possibly be reached

creatures can only track 5 things at once, when a lizard encounters a large pile of corpses constantly making sounds they constantly grown at it, but in this case it's too far away from the white lizard for them to want to uncloak and eat them

ive closed all the rifts except for some of the Daemon rifts, the shattered terrace - ancient urban rift and the outer rim - daemon rift
should closing the outer rim - daemon rift do the trick?
