God I am glad I did because this was a beautiful ending I don't even know what to say and of course, watcher 1.5 ending spoilers. there is new content in almost every region, I recommend restarting. Stuff like new creatures in already loaded regions won't appear if you continue. Though you won't be locked out of any endings if you do continue

i assume this is probably watcher 1.5 early to mid game stuff (i completed original watcher) idk but

|| i have met the weaver like 3 times, my tail has become a yellow broom with my face having become yellow aswell, i can open rifts willy nilly and theres random strings sometimes that dont lead to portals or anything||

||I searched ripple worm in this server hoping that someone else has the same thoughts as me on this 😭 the way that you can't see the void worms during the last sequence but only their lights just like in ripplespace with other creatures really makes me think the watcher turns into a ripple worm of some kind. the spiral puzzle convinced me even more, the big ripple spawn looks a lot like a version of something the watcher turns into in the end, the blue sparks of the entire ending sequence even show up again. absolutely love the idea of there being 3 main 'forces' of the RW universe like this with the rot and the rot worm in UE, the void and the void worms and ripplespace and ripple worms||

the initial release was very rushed by the publisher and it released pretty buggy and missing content. Recently a major update released, all the content is now in the game and some bugs have been fixed, not perfectly stable but it's far better now

the negative reviews should reduce soon, especially once the major bugs get patched

for now, just make sure reduced screen shake is enabled and be ready for occasional issues, but the story and gameplay are all incredible I can promise you

It's a very different experience in comparison to Downpour.

• Downpour is all about revisiting the same map multiple times, with each campaign having its own unique plot. The world itself changes ever so slightly as time moves on.

• Watcher on the other hand is a lot more chaotic. You basically have to play hide and seek with a ghost in a set of massive, disconnected levels, all the while dealing with complex mechanics, which (in typical RW fashion) are barely explained.

So I think a little bit of a problem some people had is that Downpour really made you remember the map. You'd revisit it many times, and you know how to traverse it. While it's hard, this repetition makes it seem a lot more manageable.

In the Watcher, you're messing with portals and end up being ejected to many random areas, so it's a lot more "sink or swim" with its design philosophy. One second you're in an icy tundra avoiding frostbite, the next you're in a desert with endless swarms of carnivorous mosquitoes.

If you really like the creatures, than Watcher is probably going to be enjoyable, since it sees you visiting different biomes too.

Another issue is that some of the traversal mechanics are very poorly explained. It's not that complex when you get the hang of it, but just like how the original game never explained mechanics like karma and karma gates, Watcher doesn't explain its portal mechanics.

They quickly became fan favorites. I personally didn't really care for them all that much since I found their mechanics very dull. This update did give them one new mechanic which turns them into a genuine threat however, so they're a lot more interesting this time around. 🙂
