||i think void worms are in a similar case to echoes, but manifest differently. echoes are slightly attached the world, voidworms are more attached, both are stuck in some inbetween. the watcher becomes a void worm because after all dat watching they've probably become attached to the world||

3rd ending spoilers ||theory on what the threads are, every creature has a threads with that thread being basicly their soul. with the daemon arms moving around these threads between strands when ever something dies or sleeps. when something enters the void sea their body is destroyed but their thread ascends. void beings like weavers and void worms are also able to manipulate these strands, with the void worm literaly ripping the strand out of your body to pull you to the egg, and void weavers using strands to seal of rifts||
