As the title implies, I'm a returning player that took a good long break since Rain World: Downpour's initial release, and with the addition of the Steam Workshop I had a lot of modded runs I created after getting through the entirety of MSC DLC's content. I'm finally getting ready to start the latest Rain World DLC, the Watcher, but didn't wanna uninstall every bug fix, cosmetic, or QOL mod I had, and I'm not sure how many mods I had for previous playthroughs are still viable to use and aren't the reason I'm having this crashing problem now. I've had a lot of difficulty understanding mod incompatibilities and errors ever since everything moved from BOI, BepinEx. and GitHub to REMIX, as I had taken a break from the base game during the time MSC was originally announced as an official DLC, and with the most recent DLC and my lack of technological skills I'm beyond lost nowadays. So I'm asking for help to read some Exception and Console Logs from my files and see if I can more efficiently narrow down what's my issue behind the crashes, rather than manually uninstall and reinstall every single one till I find out, whilst effectively keeping as many enabled as possible to hopefully protect my older gameplay if possible. The current symptoms I'm facing are that the game is freezing between loading screens for various amounts of time, even occasionally popping up the "Not Responding" card, and that starting up any campaign loads the intro cutscene, but fails to load the player into the scenery, although the backdrop and music is fine, and all input functionality stops from there. The game does not state it is "Not Responding" and has to be manually tabbed out of and shut down outside the game's UI because otherwise it will stay stuck.

Lastly, a terrible quality video broken up into 4 parts because I use Discord for free of what the issue occurring looks like.
Another thing to note is that when I verify the game files, it always fails to find one file and reacquires it. However, upon restarting the game and actually initializing the story, the problem happens again and when I go to verify my files it does the same thing. So I'm aware something I have applied in REMIX upon starting up the gameplay itself, removes this file and the game cannot find it so it simply gets stuck and crashes.
It's saying invalid code in intro roll, its likely one of the slugcat mods you have enabled is not updated to watcher
You can check by the last time the item was updated on the workshop
Watcher came out march 28th for reference
MissingFieldException: Field 'MoreSlugcats.MoreSlugcatsEnums/AbstractObjectType.SingularityBomb' not found. pawretty sure this is the fatal one?

I will mess around more with this when I get the chance, though, I noticed Unshackled Coop does not allow me to do Jolly Coop in the Watcher campaign itself, and I have no idea what was now after trying to eliminate a bunch of things in groups. My solution at first was to use Watcher Co-op but that is incompatible with Unshackled Coop apparently lol.

I think the long loading times and occasional game wanting to crash is because it's processing so much now that I think of it, but also I figured out just now it was Myriad of Slugcats allowing Jolly Coop in the Watcher and allows the same functionality I need from Unshackled Coop whilst spawning the player.
yeah, lonf load times are pretty usual with a lot of mods, tho it shouldnt be as bad now that the game is in 64 bit? but its still a thing

i didnt see anything else that is defo outdated (bingo may be outdated, i cant check rn, but that shouldnt cause an issue unless you open the bingo menu)

I tried playing Coop last night with my girlfriend but for whatever reason Rain World was the last straw and absolutely demolished her PC with overheating it lmfaoo.
She reported it was 90° before everything went out, and now I'm not sure if that's Celsius or Fahrenheit-
no idea too
I've had an easier time playing from Chicago, IL with people in Russia so no clueeee.
Especially since the game would instantly crash via Steam Remote Play or Parsec and just black screen her entire everything.
Though she said her discord ping was like double the recommended so it may just be her PC dying.
remote play is so damn buggy ngl

i just hate it when if you are the one to join you can count the pixels
I usually swap Steam login with her and she downloads the game, so that she gets the best possible performance as a newbie and I deal with the immense lag spikes. I'm used to like RW Caecus so in a way I could literally do predictive gameplay blind.

I saw it on Workshop! Not sure how it works but I saw several of its recommended attachment mods were highlighted in that yellow-orange color in REMIX, and I already learnt the hard way to never apply those mods because you will never get back into the game LOL.
Made me unsure if I should actually try it.

I just noticed what you said (I somehow glossed over this line) that the fatal error line is not actually the reason I was experiencing my issue, seemingly meaning the fatal error isn't doing anything so far, but if it's a fatal error is there any chance that will mess up things later?? Or was this error 100% caused by Unshackled Coop and should I then mention this bug to modder (assuming the mod isn't discontinued)?

the slugcat not showing up is 100% unshackled coop, and the dev is already aware
it's possible that the missingfieldexception isn't actually fatal (a missingmethodexception is always fatal, but MFE might not be - if you're not experiencing issues then it probably isn't)
there is a chance that it could do stuff later ... now that i have more of a brain, it's possible some mod is trying to alter a property of the singularity bomb, or inherit from it
so it's possible that loading that object, or a singularity bomb itself, could cause issues (most likely a freeze..?)
but that's a kind of rare scenario anyway
Ahh okay. Maybe I'll experiment later with Gourmand lol and see if I can break my game. The only thing I can imagine trying to spawn a singularity bomb is if I played as Inv in a regular campaign but that was only available through Unshackled Coop, so I can't imagine what else it'd be trying to do with singularity bomb spawns.
However it is strange since I didn't select Inv that it could be stuck trying to spawn Inv's special item.
I'll look through the rest of the mods again anyway but I can't think of what else is altering or using that specific item in any way.

this kind of exception will throw when the code that uses that field runs
(i.e when applying mods, or starting the game)
but it should only cause an issue when that code is accessed in-game, rather than just during the mod's setup process

I'll probably test that and Arena mode cause I think I vaguely remember the item being available in Arena mode.
So it seems game fine if I craft and sleep with a singularity bomb, and even if I play around with singularity bombs in Arena mode by throwing them at other creatures.
Exception Log in case there's anything interesting. I ran the game after editing something in remix, seeing where room screenshots go in my library, and then running around as Gourmand to craft and sleep with the le bomba.
Console Log as well.
Seems whatever the field is it isn't produceable by Gourmand or in Arena mode.
It's most likely not significant then.
