calling down the birds, jellyfish or ramming scavs with a jetfish to kill with blunt damage are the most used methods

depending on the toll you choose it will be more/less convenient

stand still facing the opposite direction of the hand your grub is in
press grab and throw at the same time

resets grub without needing to let go
