I obviously feel very lost but that's part of the game and you have to wander around, but i feel like i'm missing stuff by not knowing basics etc.

it can be frustrating but learning is meant to be part of the experience.
wiki can spoil you very badly so looking up things is a bad idea.
if youll feel stuck tho these channels are here for a reason!

Too give a bit more detail about the question: i've played the game for 8h (a while ago) and i've been wondering around etc.
What bothers me is that this game is obviously a "knowledge based game", but unlike Terraria or Minecraft where playing with a wiki open is recommended and doesn't impact your experience, i feel like looking up how this game works would make the first experience worst than playing blind.
But, this game is also very confusing and doesn't give a lot of info to its player.
So my question is how much should i look up / know about the game ?
Do you guys recommned going in FULLY blind ? (i just know the fact that you can tame some monster, not sure what it does, and some movement tips, that's it)

The game doesn’t tell you much and it’s supposed to be that way

Even many of the gameplay mechanics you aren’t supposed to immediately know

so do i used my survivor thingy just to see, it said it was a once time use, so i suppose i can't regain another usage ?
also is the wanderer the one you get after survivor ?
