two interesting things

I noticed early on my survivor play thought that the long skinny dudes get their eyes red if you attack them

but you can lure them to you so they comb their heads, and throw the spear to the other side so they don’t steal it

and I just saw that the white/blue big flies get inside water with leaches to get bitten and then go up in the air and eat them

i will say every creature has unique characteristics but they are set in a way you could meet a creature with those same looks again, the chance is just really low

I have yet to find any useful application to this red tiny plant

the first thought that popped in to my brain was that the vultures come to the larvae because they want it as food

but to “confirm” that i should be in the same room all the time and see if the vultures eat the or anything

(it made sense that they would like it, maybe not for themselves but for the vulture’s child

but then why the fuck would the larvae make the call?

Because almost every time this has happened the vulture usually catches another creature

(makes sense, as you would want bigger prey)

So this leaves me three possibilities:

• Vultures like larvae as food, for themselves, or their child’s
• Vultures get attracted by the call as they want to protect the larvae (maybe related to them in some way)
• Vultures come to the larvae as it makes noise and get their attention. Larvae have developed this as a defense mechanism, as usually the thing that makes them do the call are bigger but can be hunted by vultures. So the larvae uses the vulture to get out of trouble, and the vultures get food out of the exchange

May seem like a tiny stupid thing, but going from the steam deck controller to the ps5 one, it has tiny things that make me miss the input i want to do

A few things happened that catched my interest

I died once falling close to the ninteen spades (procked the flashing lights need to later find him), so I thought that it did not save. After that trying to get to the place I died to get my karma plant I died rolling (yep). So when making the path for the third time the karma plant appeared on my secon death spot. Werid, but okay. I get to the ninteen spades place but it does not do the flashing lights, the echo is literally here

So is all of this part of monk being easier? or did the karma plant always appeared in the second death since you had it?

Why is the echo here? I did not save when I activated it, is that not a requirement?

My normal experience in this game is just wandering for 5 hours and getting nothing done until I get something by mistake

Okay, I just played for a bit in my other save file (the one that does not have the 5 pebbles gift to see what happens with more echoes to the karma scale)

and I got to shoreline, went through the water instead the sewers in the bottom and I kinda think I have explored almost everything (do not really know as this is another save file I do not have the map of the other save file)

So maybe there is not an echo in shoreline, for now my objective is to go to sky island from garbage wastes to see what happens to karma

let’s start slowly

a beast but nos as dim as the other. I was a summing this dialogue was meant because I was “enlightened” or because i have the yellow cube with the light

But why no as dim as the rest? what exactly are the other beast? My initial thoughts were other slugcats, but i’m not so sure anymore

Again my initial thoughts were slugcats, at the end of the day survivor did the same path as me just before me, and i’m not sure if hunter is going to do it after or before me

But that is not many, are other slugcats doing this same path? That would kinda of explain the end of the playthrough after ascending, the tree with all the slugcats souls. Maybe those are the ones that have done the pilgrimage

But, that sounds maybe a little simplistic, maybe the others before me were other ancients, it could be talking about themselves and seeing the past reflected in what is happening

But it doesn’t look like it’s talking about itself, more like other people outside itself. So what? maybe other instances of yourself? other reincarnation or maybe another timelines?

This feels a bit farfetched so i’m not sure how to feel about it

But it does not end here, the drip drip drip part gets me a bit crazy

My first thought it could be about the pond at the end, the water that gets yourself asecended and you are able to meet ¿god?

Looking around maybe it is talking about how the slugcats look like droplets of water when they fall, I mean we are right next to a cliff, and 5pebllrs gives us the quest to come here and fall down, so maybe all the reincarnations do the same and it could look like drops

It could even talk about themselves rain itself, how the rain is usually the end of life that is outside, but once you ascend (both physically and metaphorically) you don’t have to worry about it

And the last and weirder interpretation could be something i thought while rereading a bit of Dune

With events that form ripples and big waves that change everything. Maybe this could be a bit similar. Maybe the slugcat ascending is like a drip of water in the time itself, changing what is established

I mean, at the end you see what looks like god, and it looks back, something has changed a bit

But that is trying a bit too hard I think

I don’t have a lot of connection with time distortions or anything like that (except echoes itself reverting you to your shelter without counting a cycle)

Okay, the next paragraph seems to be referencing the existence of previous civilizations to whatever the echoes are (for now we are assuming they are the ancients)

But then they start pondering about the deepens in which this civilizations went

We know that in the depths the pond that we talked about lies. I do not know why but I thought that somehow it was created, but I guess it was already there

Si the “Did they dig too deep?” gets me confused. Because at first I thought that the echo could be regretting the rituals and having ascended. But literally in the next line they say “We were right to drill straight through them”

So why exactly is the echo saying that maybe the past civilizations dig to deep??

Nonetheless it is pretty ironic that the echo is pleased with digging through them

As I would imagined he meant they fought and conquered the place

but one of the things that you need to let off to be able to ascend is violence

Only reason I would make a post to document your challenges is if you want to avoid spoilers because the challenge chats are usually full of them
