Since you are NOT figuring out ||CTFs|| on your own, I think I should be good to give you an idea...
||So a CTF (crawl turn fly) is where you can fly on the spot vertically...
The issue here is that it's a frame perfect move. Get one frame of input wrong, and you fall right back to the ground. Some people have mastered this and have managed to fly hundreds (?) of blocks vertically iirc. All frame perfect||

I went down the left path here. I have seen that it connects to chimney canopy

and another path below that one that goes to the dark place with the green fireflies

i guess it loops back to the exterior since i’m going down

i also saw a path to the left in some island that had yellow lizards so maybe is a path for sky islands(?)

I guess i will have to grind a bit of karma (lost a ton getting used to gravity again lol) and i can directly go to the communication tower if it connects to sky island

first (i haven’t read the transcript yet) i want to tell you something that has bugging me a lot since my first 4/5 hours of the playthrough

and it’s that in the intro of the game we see that slugcats live in some type of packs or communities (around a tree, at least ours)

but I am yet encountered another slugcat

i know there are more for the DLCs but i haven’t seen another one in game

AND in the cutscene we look very tiny, but in gameplay we look like average size, i don’t have another slugcat to compare sizes but if i were double my size like adult slugcats are in the original cutscene i would be more or less a lizard

and that does not seem like a natural prey for this creatures

sooo, something fishy is happening, or i’m just trying to pull strings

But that got me a lot more strangled out when my yellow guide initially lured me to a direction using the symbol and holograms of more slugcats, but now it’s only about the pink, blue android and their colored flies

So i’m not entirely sure if we are just another creature that got pulled over really far away from our house in a flood

or the yellow guide maybe implanted the memories to give us a porpouse that he could use so we complete some mission

but why not give me the mission he wanted from the start then? maybe the slugcat is to stupid and family=good is a safer bet

this creatures are “built” (or tasked) to give some creatures the ability to scape the cycles

Earlier in this thread i commented how i think the cycles may be a glimpse of times you died, but only advance when you find shelter since you survived

So getting out of the cycles could be not having to jump from one “timeline” to another when you die. Ending a weird type of immortality

So the gift that these guys give other creatures is something like death

that would explain why the benefactors (i would guess the creators of this creatures or the ones that designed the plan to end the cycles) are gone

they have scaped the cycles long ago, whatever if that means dying or not

So i would be compelled to imagine that the benefactors are not the computer wizards in the depths (my initial guess when i first read the line), they are “mere” keepers of whatever lies ahead

This obviously does not explain (yet) why we are the only known slugcat, and who are the echoes

Don’t really get the point yet, but something build them having the rain in mind, as it looks like (very random thought that maybe doesn’t make sense) the gates use water from the rain to cool down the resistance activated when used

At least that’s what makes the only one use per cycle have sense in game

So i would not imagine that whatever caused the rains to begun comes after the disappearance of an advance society(the ancients), as they had to build the gates (unknown use) having the rain in mind

I keep loosing advancements in the chieftain achievement and the only things i have done is eating the scarabs with the blue and green tiny balls

i just tried it and throwing things to boost you like in zero gravity works a lot better when getting out of poles than white a normal jump

But if the thing that i said long ago (about the pink guy using those things to remember what happened, and the blue android being clueless about everything because it has lost its memories) makes sense that the achievement is “history lessons” as the colored flies could be memories or something alike to the androids

I didn’t take a photo, they are like small bugs that goes pretty fast with some type of eggs or something in their backs that can be green or blue. If you hit them with a spear they get all the eggs out and you can eat them individually

the thing in the top middle kinda reminds me of an entrance of filtration system (but maybe in just trying to project the little i know in other things)

si first thing, it does not look like the ancients are the same in each drawing

so maybe it’s not a continuous ritual that the same people have to advance through

but they do have the karma symbol that you get when each cycle passes

So i don’t know if maybe the ancients changed physically either each cycle or they are just portaging different characters

it is also interesting to see each karma symbol being represented with actual things that the ancients are wearing while the last one just has it cross it out in their eyes

Each day i’m more and more curious about the karma symbol that nineteen spades have me

Like, is there an alternate karma scale that i could had gotten?

why would i want more karma but not the gift of communication?

and i feel this answers are not going to be found in the depths tbh

if the echoes really are a reminescents of the ancients why would they give me different karma from the androids?

I have to many ways of reading this

is this ways their societies fell? and that’s what caused the cycles to begin? so they had to live all of that behind to transcend the cycles?

because the 4th could be easily be seen as gluttony, and the second one as lust

I guess the third one could be greediness as they look like they are trading something, or making some type of law

the last one maybe the act of some war? to protect???

and the first one is the most difficult one

Like there is one in top of the other, is it like dominance?

Maybe it’s the flaws of a society that needed to be left behind?
