It's possible you have to take the karma flower at the top to trigger the room opening? If you have any mods it might be worth testing again with them disabled

Oh yeah after that first ending crashed l assume you've taken the hint to disable any and all mods

the only mods im keeping active are blood, DMS and screen scroll
