Just got Rain World last Wednesday, I'm really liking the game but I've been stuck in Garbage Wastes for hours. I know it's not a big deal to get stuck in a region especially as a new player, but I find it super demotivating right now and could really use some help. Anything helps!
you can always return to the region you came from if it gets too frustrating
yes, never be afraid to backtrack or explore elsewhere
what's giving you the most trouble in that region though?
I think my biggest problem with GW is how difficult it is to backtrack in time before it starts raining, navigation is such a pain and the map doesn't make things any better
The thing is GW is arguably the easiest region to travel to for me from Industrial Complex, everytime I've backtracked and went to one of the other regions I've either never been able to find shelter in time or any food
Is there a specific reason you're backtracking in GW though?
You may have better luck finding the next shelter by committing and continuing forward
yeah, and your map is a good tool to explore rooms for shelters or food you may have missed
Thought I'd share this, finally made it past Garbage Wastes
Unrelated to the title of this post but I don't wanna flood posts, I've met Looks to the Moon (I believe that's their name) but I have absolutely no clue what to do next
Don't worry about flooding this thread, it's made specifically for people that wanna document their first playthroughs!
you can always explore elsewhere
and yes, feel free to keep on sending updates on your playthrough here!! we love to see those kinds of things here
flood more
it's called rain world after all
found some place called Shaded Citadel, it's honestly really cool looking
I believe I'm supposed to go here because the overseer was sort of pointing towards it
thank you!
this place is cool but I have NO clue where I'm going because it's so dark
am I supposed to find a lantern or something?
nvm I found out that I can trade for one
Documenting!
WHAT IS THAT THING
Documenting! (first playthrough)
changed this to clarify ^^^

did you fall into the pit?
No I followed the Overseer to memory crypts
I have NO clue what where I'm going I've just been following the little guy
Bro thinks he blends in
Did you fall into the pit after this image?
possibly..
The Pit Victim Death Counter: 287
Am I going the right way? I was told to go west and then straight down by 5 Pebbles but I'm kinda lost
Cool looking scavenger
do you remember what else he told you?
Something about going to Farm Valley (I believe it's called) and then straight down
Which I have no clue where that's at I've never been
For you though, there is another way. The old path. Go to the west past the Farm Arrays, and then down into the earth where the land fissures, as deep as you can reach, where the ancients built their temples and danced their silly rituals. The mark I gave you will let you through.
Ohhhh that's what they said
I believe I keep going west? I haven't reached Farm Arrays so I would assume so
I'd assume so too
Made it to Farm Arrays, I'm not sure if 5 pebbles meant there was a way around Farm Arrays or if I needed to go through Farm Arrays
Farm Array count: 3
now 4
big creature
I think these things are the deer's babies??
I wanna throw them but I don't incase I'm wrong
Ohhh true
I'll try it but if I'm wrong I'm gonna feel bad
WHAAAT
THIS IS SO COOL
I have no clue what was inside of that egg but whatever it is, it worked
I kinda think that maybe it's some sort of food for the deer
Woah I found another echo
This has pretty much just turned into a spam of photos
I think this stuff is cool tho
Amazing
hi xert

Filtration System, no clue if this is the right way because the yellow guy hasn't been popping up
He's popped up here and there but he doesn't point me anywhere
Here's my thoughts and conclusion on the Survivor campaign
Initially everything was confusing and hard- it slowly got better as I progressed but overall this game was definitely my favorite by far. Amazing visuals, everything down to the tiniest details felt important. I did miss out on learing a lot of the lore myself as I was told a vague summary of the world (very, very vague) even with that everything felt new and fresh. Ill post theories and stuff I didn't really quite get here soon
