I'm not going to pretend to know how this works, but ||I had a random encounter with the Watcher that had nothing but a button with the survival karma symbol on it, it seemed to do nothing, but I just checked my nanomon stats, and it's showing a silhouette of a slugcat now||

all good! basically :

||first, right click the game in steam, go to installed files and click verify integrity of game files

second, wait for that to finish, it'll likely be v fast

third, at the top of that window there should be a 'browse' button. click that.

fourth, when you're in that folder, find a file called 'safety'. delete that file, reboot the game

fifth, grow your pet to adult! it'll turn into a scug the moment it's old enough! :) enjoy scud..||

yup! bring it for walks and it'll grow over time - does take a fair while, but i think it's offline too!

so you don't have to be on 24/7 to grow it, hopefully!

My understanding may be outdated but the code is what you need to get the slugcat in the game it directs you somewhere :3 you don’t need to have gotten the key from that time limit stuff

So everyone can get it, they just need the code

And it’s fun to decipher it at least in my opinion

If you've already done what the secret code says to do and have a rainworld save file in a common directory, like not on a separate drive, it will show up as an event on your third stage, if you click the emblem your next evolution will be one. This is my understanding so far. I've got the event twice now at lvl 3 and as long as you click the emblem you are good to go.

pro tip, if you don't have a nanomon leave before reaching the prime pyramid you get to fight an exact copy of your nanomon as final boss
which includes the health status
but does not include temporary buffs from brews

If you do have a nanomon leave then you fight them instead

Pickpocket is absolutely busted though, since it stacks
find enough vending machines to smash and you get mountains of free items when fighting Nanomon with high HEART

Oh, and Osmosis is a noob trap, never get it
A huge downside of it is that the Nanomon can no longer drink anything, not even tonics

I've never ran out of drinks to justify it, and the namonon does not get dehydrated fast enough for the trait to be convenient

A tip, you can get fighting style traits easier with a new nanomon
let them rest, and if a stats prompt pops up, go to a menu to dismiss it
the game will keep sending prompts at the same rate until you pick an option
which increases the changes of getting fighting style traits

If you don't want a trait, dismiss it like stats up instead of choosing no

With this knowledge imma always get Aggressive, Close-Range Fighter now
