i suspect that the void sea is just a giant ocean full of worms, like a void worm soup. When you swim down you seem to see many creatures that have a shiny head, a couple tentacles, and a reallyyy long tail. I wonder if the worms could perhaps be connected by that tail or if they exist completely separate of one another

another possible theory is that most of the things there are an illusion, similar to how we see multiple versions of ourselves
