||there isn’t "no mercy" route anyway, you would just lose recruits, maybe it will affect future chapters but who know. the weird route isn’t exactly the same thing, since you have to specifically freeze enemies and "proceed", just "killing" them won’t work||

||there are few weird route differences, but none require anything special in chapter 3. you can do it completely pacifist, it won’t affect anything for the route ||

||What if we get the generic "Susie defies fate and rewrites the prophecy" happy ending but it actually changes prophecy in the entire game and it's reflected in subsequent playthroughs, until you decide to do snowgrave and end up forcing Noelle to rewrite the prophecy again back to the original version||

||like how at the end of chapter 2(?) weird route, susie says something like "somehow i don't feel like we just saved the world..." while she says the opposite in the normal route (i'm putting this in spoilers cause i can't remember if it is definitely chapter 2 or if it's in a more recent one)||

||in my eyes, these minor differences between each route really do change the endings of each chapter. not in an immediately obvious way, but it definitely changes the subtext and tone of the whole ending of each chapter. and i imagine that will be the same for the ending of chapter 7. the ending will probably be much the same on the surface but wildly different in subtext||

@signal grail chapter 4 ||did you read this theory? i'm interested to see what you would think of it. one minor thing that they got a bit wrong is that it says "defeat the king and stop the dragon", not "defeat both the king and the dragon". so since they did end up stopping susie from becoming evil, the prophecy still hasn't necessarily been broken yet. that said, the person who made the theory posited the idea that it doesn't matter how the "stopping" takes place. kris and ralsei could have stopped her aggressively but chose to use mercy and keep her on a good path||

||also chapter 5 definitely is going to have asgore because of gerson story and there is a room in the chapter 4 dark world that talks about a flower king also the whole misunderstood thing that happened that made asgore a “bad guy” was probably something to do with him finding a dark world and fighting the knight and getting a black shard by chipping the sword like what happened when we fought the knight then when he got out of the dark world with whoever the knight is everyone though he was fighting an innocent person the reason I think this is because in the vent stuff in chapter 4 you can see asgore in the bathroom and when he moves to carols room he starts talking “with this black shard I will show everyone the real truth” or something like that||
