i doubt anyone remembers me but a while ago i played rain world for the first time and played for 3 hours then never played again
and thats what im doing now!
last time i stopped right after unlocking the industrial complex region
but look at what i just found, it seems like this is yet another region
btw, im spoiler-free so i dont want any spoilers

It’s not the end of the world, you don’t need to use them to enjoy the game and get to where you want to be

just an optional thing that can make the game a little quicker

i find it really difficult to venture to other shelters

mostly because i havent fully memorized everything yet

but its also just hard

though shaded citadel seems more difficult than the other 2 regions ive been

because its really dark and theres not much food around

but the yellow worm thing is telling me theres some kind of person in here

so i'll find them

i have to find one of those glowing orange berries to get to that person apparently

beucase its too dark and those glowing creatures stop glowing after they die

and i cant go anywhere holding them alive

nevermind the orange berries suck as a light source

im having a lot of trouble traversing this region

there is always a way to combat the threats you come across, though you have to be the one to discover it

You hurt another innocent being? Slugcat is an amoral animal and prolly has no guilt over getting food to survive. You are the player though, and you have the moral autonomy to make of it whatever you will.

yesterday i watched a youtube shorts saying that drainage system is where most starters that didnt follow the yellow worm to industrial complex quit the game because its a really hard region

I dislike drainage system but it is still totally doable like any other region, there's a lot of exaggeration I'd say. Like always it comes down to trial and error and exploring your traversal options

to be honest i do find this game super hard

i struggle a lot but the struggle is fun here

just as an example i just discovered this room and theres an axolotl blocking the only way out so i'll have to think of a way to bait them into opening the path without dying in the process and i find this part of the game extremely fun and satisfying

the worm can lead you through multiple paths, the game is so open no matter which one you choose you will be fine

even when i get a spear in one of the 2 places i have access theres still a really high chance the spear will bounce off the wall instead of sticking to it when i throw it because i have no idea how it works

if only there was a way to pouce while hanging on bars

i jump off a high place then jump as i land to go really far

but not right now im in a tangent because i fell in the middle and managed to run from the leeches

i just watched a youtube shorts about rain world and realized if you throw a debris on a lizard it will turn away from you for a sec which gives you time to throw a spear into their bodies

i dont know how i missed that and that was kind of a spoiler but i decided to document this anyways because its very useful game knowledge

all i can remember is being in a room with 2 ways out, both ways had this shelter icon, one of the ways was harder to get to the selter but less risky and there was a green lizard in the way and the other was easier but more risky it was like 2 pouces over a pit

i decided to take the easier but more risky shelter and thats all i can remember

i just got here and the whole area flashed blue for a second
