Okay so to document progress:
Max Karma: 7? Yellow
Have been to: Aether Ridge, Cold Storage, Salination(JUST entered), Sunlit Port, Torrential Railways, Turbulent Pump, Fetid Glen(for like 3 minutes), Coral Caves, Verdant Waterways, Signal Spires, Heat Ducts, Rusted Wrecks, Desolate Tract, The Surface, The Badlands, Shrouded Coast
New creatures I've seen: Frogs, The big whale things that fly, Barnacles, Basilisk Lizards, Moths, Rot Infected Lizards, The blue dots that fly around, Tardigrade, Sand Grubs, Those Blue Lizards with the striped bodies, Drill Crab, Yellow Scavenger
Abilities I have: Camouflage, Warp placing, Levitation???

So basically sometimes it shows me rifts but they don't open and let me through, do I need to get a higher max yellow karma or are there different requirements?

Also what do the rings around the different regions in the region map mean

anyway, hi!! you should test out your theories when you get the chance monksilly you'll know when they'll be useful, though

hint one: ||it may help to notice what is in those regions themselves||
hint two, if you're still lost on what they mean: ||some may appear or disappear depending on what they symbolize||

as for the double ringed gold circle, (direct answer for one of them) ||i think that's just a region select when on the map rivclose ||

and the white ones mean (direct answer again) ||no markers||

I've seen it be done and the bugs are many, you will have to look for the according mods that patch the bugs

For example portaling with one on your back will crash the game
