then on the next slug I played (monk) I played with dlc on and I beat it just fine

with downpour enabled somee dlc creatures will appear that aren’t in vanilla and coulddd make your life harder but from my experience playing monk w/ dlc on i didnt see them very often except for a few specific areas

If your face has x’s for eyes ( x.x ) you are completely dead and never can get out of it

there are other ways you can escape too, but you should experiment monksilly

it's alright if you struggle with the game at first. it's pretty much every player's experience. i'd recommend to slowly and gradually explore everything and study creatures instead of rushing to the next region right away because it usually leads to a lot of frustration. your experience and knowledge is very important progression-wise in this game and sometimes even more important than the number of regions you've visited
