An advantage to switch is along with save files, you can also run the game on different users. This means, if you want, you can pull open rain world on another one of your switch users and run another story game. I recommend this after you beat your initial game, though, but it is an option.

There is no need to reset. If eating the girl's neurons were meant to softlock you, they wouldn't be edible in the first place.

Rain world, in multiple ways, is not linear. There is almost always another way to accomplish things saintunyoy
