some more things to know, when you give the scavs the pearl, you need to make sure they grab it first (best way is by placing it down gently by holding shift+down in front of them as opposed to throwing it, which can be riskier)

then they will wave their hands at you to signal you to come forward once theyre ready for you

figured a few general tips might be in order upon reading this thread

  • The Hunter campaign is designed to be flexible. There are 3 to 5 distinct major goals depending on which ones you count and none of the most important three are dependent on another one.
  • It is not the end of the run if you lose one or both of the items you start with. This may lock you out of one or more goals but you always have other options. (tbh the game really ought to convey this better, having only one hand open most of the time can make things significantly more difficult)
  • You can get a complete experience by focusing on one specific goal each run, even if most of those runs end up "failing". Completing 3 or more on the same run is more of a challenge for very dedicated players, and something I personally recommend doing after completing a few Downpour campaigns.

hunter is a learning experience, you can't really expect to beat it without taking multiple attempts to perfect your route and learn what to expect

but there are certainly ways to make it more approachable - the pearl you have at the start for example, is completely optional. You can save it for a future run but I don't recommend it until you've beaten Hunter once.

You can also spend more time in Survivor to map out the world to help you plan a route. There's also plenty of optional things you can do in Survivor's campaign just as there are for Hunter
