yes, 1.9.07b is quite an old version!
most mods will work on 1.9.15b
however, the most recent version is 1.10.1, and mods will slowly be updating to work with that version
so over time your mods will stop working on 1.9.15b (and quite a few already don't)

in maybe 3-6 months, i think most mods will be for version 1.10.1
