Alright this post regards ||both endings but since i personally have no clue about the lore implications of the first one its primarily intended for the second(dont be deterred from speaking bout the first tho), ive recently finished the campaign with a very high percentage id reckon, most regions fully explored besides a handful and im mesmerised by the rot entity ie the roterator ie the prince. Does the rot have sentience or does just it have sentience, why does it look like a god damn sunflower almost like it was hand picked for the ending, what does the ending mean with all the karma flowers, the echo didnt seem that obsessed with them other than giving them to the watcher so it can corrupt, and from what i understand it wants to make the whole living world into 1 hivemind(looking at unfortunate evolution it seems that it succeeds at that)||

i think i ||understand what the objective of Watcher is. Going through different periods of time in different areas that Spinning Top has been through, eventually relating back to a very personal area, which then lets them let go of the ties that bind them to the world, and thus letting them ascend||

i think ||the prince is rot that has overtaken an iterator and he wants to infect the world as all rot would, he does say it in nice ways to try to manipulate you that he has a nobler purpose, he treats you very nicely accounting that youre quite literally infecting the whole world for him and he gives you karma flowers so u can do your thing|| all in all very nice guy

Its basically following an echo through their personal journey, what echoes see, and how they can let go of their emotional ties to the world. This clearly does not impact watcher though. They’re still in this world after the credits roll

How is watcher helping the spread of rot?
