okay so I have a theory for these

these have a chance to happen if you shelter uhm...I cant remember if I sheltered very early or late but it was one of the two. But if you shelter very early the gates to the shelter are closed for much longer and open earlier, if you shelter late the gates don't have time to settle and the shelter floods towards the end of the cycle.

I am actually growing to like these flood cycles

at almost 100hrs in this campaign it is a welcome variation
