I suspect by now all my overseers are gone out there. Without me they would just roam around with no purpose.

The scavengers tend to hunt them, it's one of their very few ways of expressing defiance.

Basing off of moon's location in the surv/hunter campaigns and then looking at her location in spear's timeline it looks like the cube she is in is slightly lower. I wonder if upon collapsing the cube that her "puppet" was in fell a level and had the wiring connecting it pretty much torn off (ouch).

I had Moon's wording wrong. I guess it could still apply, the wording she uses to describe her wires being cut doesn't illude to her collapse at all it feels. She seems to describe it as more of an action or event that might be separate from the collapse.
But then again, I haven't met an Iterator that gives their full life story in one go LOL
