Apologies
Just did all to be safe
Oh the slugcat question was about unlocking characters?
That should be stated in the menu itself I think
easiest question to answer is that yes, there is an ending to the game
playing it specifically for that won't get you very far though, it's about exploring and discovering the world around you
No, the sleeping menu, karma menu or whatever
Sleeping screen only has the character you are playing as
It shows multiple others branching off though
ah
those aren't tied to other slugcats, they're independent
Oh those are like achievements
some just share names with the slugcats themselves, yeah
Ah, okay that makes sense
Yeah. As a random fact the first version of the game only had the white slugcat, and was completely nameless
- Can you describe "little floating things" a bit more?
- There isn't a way to influence what the yellow things show you. If they stopped showing it for a long time, that means they've decided that they no longer want to show you this information.
- (question was already answered by other people)
- Yes, there is an end to to the game, and most people would consider it the win condition.
You can touch them then they start slowly moving away, there's a lot of them all over the area
Can you quickly list out the regions you've been to so far? I have an idea of what it is, but want to make sure.
yeah that sounds about right
there might be like one missing
What does that mean?
there are 12 regions total
so you are missing one
as in you have not been there
Hang on maybe I'm wrong
Question: MSC aside, are you playing with Remix on or off?
If you don't know what that means, then probably off
That introduces the possibility that you slept in a region before getting thr Survivor passage
Other passages don't progress until you get the Survivor
?
They're not talking about the passages right now
Oh
The achievement? If so, I have it
Though I have no clue what it means
don't worry about it
Okay then
they're only used for fast travel
and nothing else
anyways back to the floating things
they disappear after being touched, right?
once they've floated away for long enough
Yeah
they're meant to guide players towards a certain place earlier in the game
Those things doesn't really matter. But they do head somewhere you will be heading.
but you've already seen that place, so you don't need to worry about them
How are they supposed to guide you? They just disappear after a while
the idea is that you follow the direction they move in
and just keep going that general direction until you find another one
it's not very intuitive at all
They don't actually point where it is.
No, they do point towards shaded
that is their intended purpose
But then why are there so many in shaded?
idk
I remember there being more in another region
I think that's lore thing I'm not sure.
they do in fact point within shaded as well
oh ok, yeah I thought so
So I'm missing something in shaded then?
I don't think so
since you've seen so many of the regions
What I mean was that if you see them in one region that isn't the destination itself, it doesn't mean the thing you're looking for is in that region.
yeah, but they still point to shaded
in that region
I'm confused
Like when you see them at shaded they just float around.
@fossil vortex Did you want more explicit instruction on what you're supposed to be doing right now? It's hard for me to tell
At least at the very bottom of shaded.
idk I haven't gone to shaded in such a long time
a bit spoilery
Memory crypts or something like that?
I assume you already been there?
They already been to shaded so it's fine.
Yeah
Though I couldn't explore much because I was running out of time, ran immediately to exterior
they haven't necessarily seen that part of shaded where the yellow ghosts linger, but evidently they do
So what are you actually trying to do right now.
I'm just wondering what they did
Seems I got that so I'm good
Hang on actually are the time creatures at the bottom of subterranean relevant at all?
I can't get past em
they're blocking an area to explore
you can't get past them rn though, yeah
They act as a wall.
So I can get past them later?
Yes.
dw about it for now
it should be obvious when you can
You can only get past them under certain condition.
Aight just checking, that place just seems so cool
