Shaded citadel has killed my love for this game man
All I do is die to an invisible spider colony all the time
And I can’t see
It sucks
you can always turn back if an area is too tough
there is nearly always more than one way to get to a place
Do you have a way to deal with the darkness?
And, yeah, giving up and exploring elsewhere is a valid option.
There's multiple way to get around the darkness.
One you can get a lantern, the bright orange object.
shhh
don't list all the solutions
give them the opportunity to figure them out
Mb feeling generous.

Anyway, you can try to find something that can aid you in the darkness or avoid them entirely.
No I want the solution
There's a third but it's rather foolish.
I want to progress the story
hold
what says this place progresses the story
I want to Finnish the game so I can play with the other slug cats
You can get a lantern as I said or you can bring the bright mouse that reside in shaded citadel.
It's hard to miss them.
They wiggol and I can’t climb with them
This is not a good mindset to have, by the way.
They make me jump not high
I say let them be.
is the trade off worth it
I'm not sure but a dead one still work.
My goal is to hit the plot points in shaded citadel then LEAVE so I can explore with the use of my eyeballs
And, also, don't assume that exploring the Citadel is the only thing you can do to "progress the story". It is not.
If it doesn't, you gotta sneak on them from top or stun them with a rock.
Their light fades very quickly though
You only want to deal with small spiders right?
The little colony yeah
Just, remember, the most valuable thing you can do is learn stuff, it doesn't matter where. If you're stuck in one area it's very reasonable to leave and find a better one.
There's this object that bright in blue/purple that can be thrown.
Then you can come back later when you've discovered more ways of dealing with the threats there
The flash bang
Yes.

Also, remember, every region in the game is skippable except for two, one of which is the one you start in. So, don't be afraid to try to "go around it".
Is 5 pebbles not in it though
yea, there's basically nowhere you have to go through
How do you know that name? Yes, it is skippable.
Because believe it or not in the 3 months I have been in shaded citadel real time I have looked up lore videos, I love lore it’s the first thing I get into whenever I get into somthing
ah
Idk if I’m a rare case but idgaf about spoilers
Well, there's a channel for when you don't care about spoiler.
You aren't really, as much as we prefer people play blind

I would like so cease playing blind lol
a lot of people play games to know everything about them before they start
~~which unfortunately is the opposite of what rain world expects
~~
The thing is this game is the sort of game that makes you want to not play it blind, but that's also where most of the interesting content in it is. So we want to make an effort to at least warn you about what you're getting into by spoiling yourself.
you aren't unusual though dw
The game is designed very carefully to support blind playthroughs, it's just also designed to be really mean on principle
And you have to approach it the right way. Don't treat it like a conventional video game, or you'll often get punished.
It’s just really frustrating to me that one of my fav parts of the game, the awesome art, is 80% revoked in this area
Yeah shaded is frustrating.
It's one of my favorite areas, actually
(Now that I'm used to it. I had a similar reaction on my first visit, I just gave up and went elsewhere.)
It became easy later on.
(now I know it so well I rarely bother getting a light)
Just made it to the next shelter
I remember my first shaded experience. Dying to the bridge, the certain sub region.
Nice where
