I get so much of that from SitS

it's got THE spirit behind tragedy, which is this idea that this was all sort of inevitable anyway, by way of the plot and the people and the setting, but it holds your hand through the catharsis of that tragedy anyway

I love it so far, I'm glad that we're doing this or I might not've ever read it

and my interpretations are super not universal btw

The reader’s realization

we have such a different variety of context about the world

The buildup and subsequent reveal was phenomenal. Most fics with Iterators have a sort-of fix-it vibe, but I expected the Iterator in this one to just look around and say they can’t find them.

I didn’t expect a corpse.

specifically the use of Silver of Straw is so useful because we KNOW about her, and the context around her, at least some of it, so we know there's no hope before the slugcat does
