You can throw to it small creatures like centipedes and squidcadas, also saving it from danger would also tame it, sleeping with it in a shelter have a chance to tame it, hope this helps :3

Unlike Minecraft, you cant tame whats basically a crocodile by giving it a pat on the back :p
