I've met the blue alien but couldn't do anything with him, and have spent the last few hours being frustrated in the shaded citadel. This thing just keeps sprawling, but I'm seemingly not achieving any progress. Any tips for what to do at this point?
Look around, there may be something interesting in that area
in the canals?
If you are where I think you are, yea
this checkpoint is brutal. I was so close.
man, this checkpoint is so unfun. It relies on all the janky mechanics working. I get screwed by the inconsistent jump height, the janky wall jumping, the stake hit detection, and then to really seal the deal they put a death pit near the end where you need to collect fruit before hibernating.
The jump height is reliant on how much you press space when jumping, its more consistent than you think
You just need more practice with wall jumping
is it? I could swear I've held that button and the jump height was still highly inconsistent.
Its very consistent
I finally made it through. On the underhang now. 🪿
Yipee
Nice!
The checkpoint in unfortunate development with the magnet ball is somehow even more unfun
who designed this thing
you learn to get past that room, and then you try to make it up that long room, with tentacle dudes on both sides. You fail to thread the needle and they bone you.
I don't even know where the needle is. The left dude's tentacle has a giant range.
Use the environment to ur advantage
Grab on poles
Throw stuff for speed
Etc.
that big stretch has nothing I can see. There's a stretchy string that overlaps the platforms below, and it's usually what you have to launch off of, and it makes for really unpredictable jump arcs.
Also there are other ways to get past
Huh okay
In my game i just jumped when it was 0G
Waited untill i reached a pole
Or a hanging rope
Grabbed before 0G ended
And when it resumed
I continued flying up
I've been keeping the silk worm with me but I don't know if it's being much help
when I use it I tend to just spring to ceilings, where more tentacle monsters are, and they quickly kill me.
I thought I might be able to use it in more directions in 0G but nope, it only ever grabs up, which is not terribly useful here.
It depends on what direction u hold
It will aim towards there
Also yeah UD sucks
U can always try taking another route if you wish but it's up to you
as far as I can tell you only throw things left and right, even in 0G. Not super useful in this vertical shaft section.
Useful to avoid the cysts
And to get to walls or poles
That u would barely miss otherwise
hmm, I see, to gently influence the trajectory on the x axis
I made it out. \o/
ye, told me to head west past the farm arrays
I wonder when the blue alien thing comes back. My little insect dude told me to go to the alien ages ago but I couldn't do anything with him.
Maybe now you might?
PauseChamp
if I have to go back through the shaded citadel I will scream
You can take a different route
Every region has AT LEAST 2 entrances
