I have the exactly same issue. I haven't played for a while and the first time the game launched normally but un-checked all my mods. I re-enabled the mods I usually use (I admit there's like,,, a lot of them, but I've never experienced major issues because of them) and now the game refuses to work. At some point it gave me a notice about some of the mods eing outdated, so I unsubscribed from them on Steam, but the game still doesn't work

I can play without the DLC tho so it's an problem with the mods or dlc

I could play the game before with the DLC

I installed some mods (Pups+ and SBcamerascroll) and after adding them and leaving an rejoining the game this happened

I uninstalled all the mods I had but it doesn't work

maybe the game updated recently and that's why I can't play

dis you figure out what mods exactly caused the issue? or did you just delete them all?

tbh is was just

any mod that I add that's not from de dlc makes the game go boom

cuz u can't have mods in the non dlc game

after that u can add the dlc again

and if u don't go to remix and add mods that aren't preinstalled in the dlc u should be fine

they regenerate themselves

so maybe what it did is that is was corrupted or something

maybe that's why steam found an problem when checking integrity

I also deleted the steam_autocloud.vdf to see if they stop regenerating but they still regenerated (steam_autocloud.vdf too)
