Lasers are the only viable sci-fi weapon for space combat that pretends to have any semblance of realism. Missiles are easy to miss, kinetic doesn't work at realistic distances in general. Sensors and communications are going to start falling off at those kinds of distances anyways.

(in my hc) there are 3 normal iterator generations, nothin special, but what if there was like, a sort of experimental 4th one, where additional processors woukd be added to an already existing iterator (late gen2 andall of gen3 would be the only ones capable of that), essentially creating 2 itties in one? And so CW is one of such iterators, OG being Chasing Wind, and the gen4 being Grey Wind. In GW-CW case, though, GW wouldn't have a separate puppet or comm signature (since gen4s were still very experimental and also unfinished cuz nass ascension) so they'd kinda switch between CW and GW

in my dreams, i dont actually play as myself but as a random OC i cook up JUST for that dream [idk, Autisim or something]

In this dream, i played as someone who was in their late teens and apearently got a phone call from work to come home, so she clocked out, went home, and found a note and no one else home with an adress

now i barely remember most of these chapters except for a few and the ending, so the chapters i dont remember much ill just give a summery of what bassiacly happend

Chapter 1: Was just getting out of work and out of town

Chapter 2: Finding out [the OC's name was Cherri btw] Cherri has a bunch of family that she didnt know about and traveling more

Chapter 3: I actually remember this Chapter, what it was is Cherri finds out she has a Cousin who lives in a Wild Western type town, "The Sandy Savoir" that is currently being attacked by a Steampunk like minitour. The Cousin dresses up as a Cowboy and rides a Steampunk like Motorbike with the head of a metal horse at the front.
Bassiacly, Cherri has to help her cousin take down the Minitour, at some point they have to run away from it, so Her Cousin [who we'll just call Hunter since he was only ever refered to as "Cuz" the entire dream] Her Cousin puts "Australian Grade Lighter Fluid" into the boiler of his bike to go faster, and the Minitour turns the "Horse" half of itself into a wildwestern carrage and starts catching up until the two lead it through the Border of seemingly another boim or area where its constantly raining, once their in the rain, the Rain slowly kills the fire of both of the Boilers of the bike in Minitour, both stopping right before the Minitour could slam down onto the two.
After some scavenging in the Minitours pilot cabin, Cherri finds out that it was on Auto Piloit, and finds her family signiture, meaning another one of her family made the Minitour, After some talking, Hunter goes back to his Wild West town, giving an Umbrella to Cherri so she can continue into the Ever Raining Rain Forrest, "The Forrest of Tears"

Chapter 4: Dont actually rememeber alot, it was mostly just alot of walking. Anyway, In the Forrest, Cherri finds glowing mushrooms the size of radio dishes, touching once causes the water on the floor to form into still images of Memories, where it shows images of Cherris life up until now, the strange part is, all the memories have a blank, almost default model of someone always with Cherri, like the Rain knows someones there, but dosnt know what they look like, This, reasonably Unverves Cherri, the Rain continues to show Memories, like the part with Chapter 2, and ends with Chapter 3, where Cherri is approached by someone to her left, Cherri, seeing this, turns to her Left, seeing this person for a split second before suddenly get attacked with a bright light. Falling Unconscious

Chapter 5: Cherri wakes up to find herself in a cotton bed, finding out the person who knocked her out was ANOTHER Cousin, who actually gives their name. "Charlee". This person explains that staying in The Forrest of Tears for too long will make you start to forget things, eventually succumbing to the grief of not being able to Remember, adding your Tears to the Rain of the Forrest and being forgotten by everyone else. As Cherri walks out of the room, she finds shes one an Airship, about the size of a fishing boat, instead of a sail, a massive blimp like balloon is on the top, Charlee welcomes Cherri aboard "The Cloud Chaser" before pointing down across the lands to their next destination, As they wait, they have a nice chat, As they Land, Charlee gives Cherry a Pocket Watch, the Hands Missing and a Gear on the internal part missing. "Gran said she wanted you to have it, i promise, i didnt break it, it was just like that." They say their farewells before Cherri walks away, seeing The Cloud Chaser Fly away.

Chapter 6: GOD this Chapter is boring, Basically, Cherri goes into a city like place called "The Lucky Faith", Cherri finds a library and bassiacly does research on her family name, she finds a book, but its only got imformation up to the part shes gotten too, all other pages have been ripped out, so she takes the book and leaves, deciding to just walk down the street into the next area that the Libriaran imformed her of, following down the river

Chapter 7: This is where things get Intresting. Cherri finds herself at an abandonded Town, the Sign welcoming people originally called the place "The Lucky Faith".... intresting... but the new name graffitied over now reads "The True Faith". walking into the town, a but unerved, Cherri discovers a power station next to the river shes been following. Walking closer, she sees the Rivers been cutoff, meaning the Water Wheel is unpowered. back tracking up the river, she finds out its been blocked quite far up, to the point shes actually back in the Chater 6 town, looking closer, a Buildings wall digs intio the river bed, blocking it, going into the River, she finds out the Water is being taken and turned into the "Tears" of the Rain Forrest from Chapter 4!. She looks at it as she sees the "Tears" flow into pipes, apearently being their drinking water. Remembering what Charlee talked about the Tears, she quicky finds out someone has been Using the Tears to make people forget by making it their drinking water. But she didnt know Why, or How they were even making it tears in the first place. As shes thinking, someTHING spots her and quickly gives chase.
As Cherri quickly dodges a charge from the Thing, as its stunned from hitting a wall, Cherri sees that it has a Boiler like the Chapter 2 Minitour, Cherri, quick on her feet, pulls out the "Australian Grade Lighter Fluid" and Tosses the ENTIRE Bottle into its Boiler [This'll be contiued in next message]

As The Bottle lands into the Boiler, fire erupts out from the Thing, from its exhaust, from the frills of the Boiler, and trhough little cracks in the pipe. The Thing quickly jumps into the water to coil off, but its simply too hot, The Sweep Net that collects debri catches the thing as it overheats and Cherri ducks behind something before it Explodes, blowing up the collection net allowing debri from the explosion to fall into the pit where Tears are being created, blocking the Pipes that were pumping the tears into the City, the Pump, now whith a blocked intake, quickly breaks. Cherri looks up and sees a support beam about to fall, she quickly ducks out of the way before it comes crashing down into the water, breaking a hole through the wall, letting the water return to the River. now with the Support gone, the building quickly enters a Runaway collapse as Cherri jumps into the River to Escape the collapsing Buildings destruction as the Water Flow takes her out of the Building, Climbing back on land, she spots a fragment of the exploded Machine Thing that chased her, picking it up, she finds out this was ALSO made by someone in her Family like from the Minitour.
She carefully reenters the collapsed building, looking into the pit were the water was turned into Tears, she sees a large chunk of one of the Mushrooms from the Forrest, as the water slowly flows off it, leaving it dry, the chunk disolves into the air, preventing anymore tears from being created, As people from the town begine to flock over to the building, Cherri quickly flees back to The True Faith.

Chapter 8: Cherri, returning to The True Faith, finds water in the River at the Water Wheel, but its still not moving, finding out she just has to unlock it, Cherri pulls a level and the water wheel turns, making honestly a breathing experience of Lights slowly flicking on and machine parts moving, the Abandoned town seemingly coming to life even through no one is even there.
Cherri stays at New Faith for a little while, day slowly becoming night as she explores the Town now in its former glory, she returns to the water wheel to say goodbye to the town before finding the signiture AGAIN that was on the last 2 machines that tried to kill her, Cherri knows that all of these were built by the same person, but the person seemingly has a 2/3 chance of being evil-
Cherri says her goodbyes to the town before taking a nearby car seemingly powered by... something... and drives off in the direction of a sign at the town, completly unreadible due to graffiti.

Chapter 9: Eventually, Cherri finds herself at a massive building, mechanical parts moving in a complicated dance like a clocktower, Driving closer, a machine gun suddenly unfolds from a tower, a laser sight aiming at Cherris Car, an automatic voice ringing out. "Prohibited Element spotted, guide the Elemant into the bay for further examination, Do Not Resist." Cherri, with no other option, slowly guids in the car into the building like the voice told her too, once in a bay, Cherri steps out and suddenly the floor opens up, swallowing the car. Cherri, seemingly having nothing else to do and hating standing still, decided to explore, since nothing was focused on her, she walked up a few stairs, walking past converys with different objects of all kinds and pipes wil all kinds of liquids... except Tears...
Reaching the top, Cherri finds what seems to be a work station, walking into the center, she hears clattering of something falling over, looking over, she spots someone...

Sorry, character limit got me-

Cherri walks over to this person before they eventualy stand up. "Alright alright... you got me... ... wait- what did you get me for?" The person asks, Cherri looks around at all the tools and machines, and that Damned Signiture that shes seen everywhere. "Are you the one making all of those... things?!" Cherri demands, holding the peice of the Robot that attacked her in Chapter 7. The Person fixes up their glasses slightly before nodding shamfully. "Ai... that was me, but i promise, the context matters. would you like some tea? this might get heavy."

As Cherri sit down with the person, they talk. "Im The Mechanic... well, i HAD a name before i was Called the Mechanic, its just i stopped hearing my actual name and eventually forgot it... or it was due to all those Tears!..."
The Mechanic sniffles slightly. "Those machines i built, the Minitour and the Guard, they were to defend the area to HELP People, The Forrest was to be defended by the Minitour because i made it suitible to withstand the Dessert enviroment, And the Guard was to defend that place when it WASNT working, but someone must of sneaked in and turned it back on, and the Guard was programmed to "Keep it off" it was just programmed to "Keep People Out." The Minitour acted out because Cuz was just getting too close to the range... i should of told him.."

As The Mechanic talks, Cherri also reflects on her adventure, she found so much about her family, and although she mostly wasnt with anyone, she still didnt feel alone.
"Youve noticed it... havent you?"
The Mechanic says, looking up at her.
"Noticed...what?"
"How your never alone? how you seem to always be going in the right place? how your always so "Lucky"?"
Cherri thought back to everything, suddenly, her happy emotion from never feeling lonely started to fad into something more of dread.

Thats when it hit her, The Rain Forrest, The Forrest of Tears. The Memories, there was ALWAYS Someone else with her, a blank slate... Cherri panickly pulled out the book she got from the librarey, their were new pages, Updated throughout her journey, and every image with her in it... had a blurry shadow on the floor nearby her...

Cherris heart dropped the book falling out of her hands as she zoned out thinking about everything. only being called back by the Mechanic.
"Cherri!? Are you ok?..."

Cherri shook her head "Y-yea, im fine."
Cherri, thinking of a way to not talk about it anymore, remembered the pocket watch Charlee gave to her, getting it out and holding it out.
"Do you think you could fix this?"
The Mechanic stared in awe at it. "Gran gave you this! didnt she?!
Cherri nodded, the Mechanic shook with glee. "Ill have this fixed in a jiffy, just give me a quick second!"

As Cherri looked in awe at the speed of the Mechanic, she looked at the finish watch, seeing that the broken gear still had a hole in it, she pointed it out.

"Oh, thats the Power Gear, it powers the mechanism by putting something in the gear, making it turn, ill find something to put in it later, sorting through all these convayors takes a while"

Cherri nods and asks if they have a spare bed she could use, The Mechanic nods and points at the door, Cherri goes in and rests on the bed, yawning and quickly falling asleep.

Chapter 10
Cherri woke up suddenly during the night to a sound, before suddenly being gagged and passing out. Waking up, She found herself above a Pool of Tears, looking out the window she saw the Mechanics tower, looking around the Pool, she saw a bunch of pipes with The Forests Mushrooms Chunks turning the water into Tears and it pooled below her, As Cherri hanged in the cage, she heard a voice. It wasnt hers.. it was a voice she heard before, but no one ever spoke it...

Cherri rummaged through her bag, she brushed agaisnt a peice of paper she always ignored since she never needed, but something made her want to grab it this time, but when she focused on trying to get it, she couldnt find it, she pulled her arm out and took a deep breath and closed her eyes, thinking about the book, she put her hand back in, and the second she felt the peice of paper, she grabbed it, held onto it with all her might and pulled it out, it was a Photo...

She Looks at the Photo, it was all her cousins, her family, was this always here? she wondered. Looking closer, looking at her, she saw a blurry part of the photo...
Someone was next to her in the photo, someone she... forgot...
She flipped the photo over, seeing the words
"To See Something, You Must Remember Something.
Remember Me."
Cherry concentrated, looking at the Blurry part of the photo, repeating the phrase "Remember Me" out aloud softly, that voice she heard was back, seemingly begging. The Tears below Cherri started to react, forming the Blank Slate again like before, but this time it started warping as Cherri started remembering small Details, She remembered a Blue Ribbon, The Tears formed a Ribbon on the model, and the Photo unblurred slightly to reveal a Blue Ribbon, That Voice got slightly clearer.

As Cherri slowly remembered more and more, The Photo got more clearer, The Voice got more Clearer, and the Tears copied more accurately.
Cherri Yelled out "Remember!" As She closed her eyes, Holding the photo close

Cherri opened eyes quickly, Looking at the Photo...
It was Clear, The Person next to Cherri... Looked exactly like her, except she had a blue asthetic instead of Red like herself, the Tears formed an exact copy as Cherri stared at it and the photo, A Name Flashed in Cherris head.
"Berri..." She said softly, looking over, the Tears returned back to the pool as Cherri looked over at the end of the pool behind the Handrails. The Girl from the Photo, Berri... Stood there
"You Remembered..."
She said softly.

Cherri asked what happend to Berri, who snapped at Cherri
"I was FORGOTTEN! Thats what!"

Berri held out the Pocket watch that she took back at the Mechanics tower, swinging it from its chain as she walked around the edge of the pool were Cherri remained caged above.
"It was right when Gran died... i left in tears, finding myself at that... Cursed Forrest!!...
Berried Snarled
"I saw Memories of Gran, i felt... happy...
but it was just a ploy to get me to stay..."

Cherri suddenly realized where this was going, she remembered from what Charlee told her-
"Your thinking about what Charlee told you? arent you?...
well who do you think told her about that?"

"I went to them.. crying about barely remembering anything, they seemed to understand, but as soon as they turned away... they forgot about me... like i didnt exist, i shoved them, getting their attention, but everytime they turned away, they didnt notice me... it got to the point where even if they stared at me, they couldnt see me..."

"So i went to Sam... trying to see if he could... fix what happend.. but the same thing happend..."
Berri saw Cherris confusion at the mention of Sam and sighed annoyingly
"The Mechanic! Their name is Sam."

Cherri thought for a bit.
"So... youve always been following me? why?"
Berri sighed.

Berri walked over to a console, wrapping her hand around a lever
"And im TIRED of being forgotten and you always remembered!

Berri pulled the Lever, causing the Cage to slowly lower into the Pool of Tears
Cherri called out for Berri to stop, that She could remember her, But Berri seemed set on her mind, Cherri called for help, until the Tears surrounded her as she quickly found herself Submerged her voice gurgled by the Tears, Cherri realised she could still breath, but her head hurt, she felt her memories slipping away, and soon she knew, the Memories of her in other people as well...

"I am sorry, i want you to know that, but im tired of being alone"
Berri said, peering over the Railing, Her voice faint but audible enough for Cherri to hear as she accepted her fate, relaxing into the tears, watching the items in her bag float out, She saw the Books pages slowly disolve away, her journey being forgotten, she the bottles of Aussie grade lighter fluid slowly leak into the Tears.

Cherry then realised something, if she could breath in the Tears, then that means theirs oxygen in it, and if theres Oxygen... then that means something can burn!
She quickly grabbed a bottle and some campfire ligthers, she tried rubbing the flint and steel together, but it was too slippery, Cherri let out a gurgled sigh, she looked at the family photo, seeing all of them become blured except for herself and Berri...

"Im... Sorry too..." She softly said, closing her eyes...

Cherri opened her eyes in Shock as she heard a crash, suddenly, the Cage hitched before suddenly being pulled up, As Cherri took a moment to adjust to the Air, coughing up the Tears in her lungs, she spotted what happened

The Minitour Robot, Piloted by Hunter, had crashed through a wall as Charlee descended down from The Cloud Chaser above, Sam was at the control panel, shutting down the continues process of Tears, the pool slowly emptying as he guided the cage over to him, Letting Cherri out who fell to the floor. It was hard to focus on their features, but she still remembered them... ever so slightly, the more she looked at them, the more she started to remember...

Just them, Cherri saw Berri pick up some debri and charge at them, Cherri called it out, but Hunter, Charlee and Sam couldnt see Berri, causing Hunter to smacked across the face, As Berri went in for another attack, screaming out "Remember Me! Or Forget Her!" Cherri shoved the Photograph of them all in her face

"Look! Look at it!" Cherri shouted out, Hunter, Charlee and Sam a bit confused as Cherri seemed to be stopping nothing, but let it play out.

"Why?!, ive seen it a thousand times! i can remember every single detail on every single one of their forgetful faces!" Berri shouted back

"Exactly!, Thats the Point Berri!"
Cherri responded, tears slightly swelled up in her eyes.
"Youve Remembered Everything! Even after what you went through, youve managed to remember everything for everyone! You Remembered Hunter, Remembered Charlee, you Even Remembered Sams Original Name that even he forgot!"

Berri staggered back slightly
"W-what?..."

Cherri nodded
"You Even helped me Remember YOU! Someone who was Lost to the Tears!...
You May of been forgotten, but you yourself have always remembered...
Youve always Remembered Us...
Now you just have to Remember Yourself..."
