Music question surrounding the OST: Is it just me or is Random Gods better when listened to outside of the game?

I ask because it somewhat starts in the middle when you do enter the General Systems Bus and, unless you deliberately time it, the song just cuts short once you enter the puppet chamber

Meanwhile, listening to the song on its own (or as a remix and there are very good remixes out there) you get the slow build up of the song. The mystery, the sheer awesomeness, the feeling of in some kind of alien environment...all growing stronger the closer you get to whatever is waiting for you
