Well still depends on how we make the AI, but while I have a good idea of how AIs today are made, idk anything about future AI models that can be a lot smarter than AIs todsy

I think there has been research made on this- while you can prevent the original AI from modifying itself, it is proveably impossible to prevent the AI from making something else thats capable of modifying it

If we use a LLM (one better than ChatGPT) then it won't really be able to do really anything beyond what we tell it to do (as long as the training data is right for it)

Oh yeah, definetly... Because LLM's kind of suck imo , partially because of those limitations. I mean they probably have some applications but I think its been blown way out of proportion

However, I do have concerns with building things that are more intelligent than us.

Oh yeah, and I would argue pretty much anything in the current AI revolution, though yeah that is the concern, people are probably going to use LMM's and the current machine learning boom to investigate more, flexible intelligences
