When enough of the lake evaporates to turn into rain clouds, those clouds are basically primed.

When said clouds rain, anyone in the local area who hears the falling of the rain now hears a detuned piano melody, and is now forced to dance a ballad.

They cannot break free from it until the rain stops.

Not even when their spouse is murdered in front of them, could they stop ballading.

Question since we really don't know what those sphere are used for otherwise: So everyone knows thr orange lizard nests along the Wall in the ball. Any theories what those really are for besides either weather instruments or really nests?

Orange lizards are telepaths right? They often are found in those spheres and Sky Islands, a region that has a lot of radios and antennas. Given that lizards are a possible favorite for the Ancients given the variety of them, maybe orange ones were some kind of maintenance drone?

Radio frequencies, oranges are found near places like that, have the best coordination outside of Scavengers, the balls have antennas...
