So when a bullet grazed me, it just straight up killed Abella

a very good game, i strive to make an AI as complex as Rainworld's, the worldbuilding is very good as its very realistic as the lore is only told to you offhandedly, lots of dying, 10/10 would play again

She ended up spawning in the bookstore, which meant I could start the "event" that finally lets me recruit her

But thankfully, I was able to simply get her without the other event triggering

ig it does have places that help with food and sanity, but i have yet to play it and i personally doubt that it will be easier

I personally thought that it was a lot harder due to two (three) specific factors:

1. Enemies on the overworld are much faster (so if you mess up your movement they will instantly catch up to you) AND the chances to escape a battle are significantly lower than the first game
2. While there are more party members, they are significantly harder to recruit than in the first game

The average enemy is also a lot stronger, and they are practically unbeatable in the early-mid game if you don't have at least one other party member

A massive milestone just happened in Runefree. I don't think a single person here knows about what Runefree is but like... it's really sick, okay?

Runefree is this TTRPG-like THING (which is not a TTRPG) that I've been running for I think a little over a year now and I can't beleive I'm saying this it's like an actual real-life journey to godhood playing the game and I'm NOT kidding

And ofc you can only run it after either taking a shortcut to the top by having somebody tell you (thus not letting you be able to play again ever), or by playing through an entire game yourself and learning everything step by step.

Anyways, the milestone was that the players finally learned every one of the base 16 runes. They're basically demi-gods now, they can do whatever they want. It's really cool, and they've earned it.

iterators are just great to draw, no feet, only four fingers so i dont have to try too much, no mouth, nose, or detailed eyes, no hair, and if i dont wanna draw bodys i just give them the biggest cloak possible, easy

Here's how I think the timeline works.
Ancients learn of ascension and they build a religion. They all hate living and existing since they stop participating in the 5 natural urges. Then they discover void fluid and begin to "sin" since they can get away with it. People start to get happier so the government decides to order mass ascension to follow their Religous duty. Or something

Maybe because of how they built their culture, too.

I'd imagine before mass ascension, most Ancients lived a luxurious, safe life, and so they don't really have any 'sufferings'

But life without struggles and everything is given to you (via iterators managing everything) also means the Ancients didn't know what to live for, 'what they want'

So if the culture and the majority said Ascension was good, then some would just go along with it, because they didn't know what else to wish for

The point is that Mass Ascension wouldn't necessarily mean the majority voted aye, or that the majority voted nay but the ruling body forced everyone. It could be that the majority was indifferent and just went along with whatever everyone seemed to be doing.
