at the start of the search it was at 97% CPU usage
now it's sticking around 80%
this is searching the same thing as in my video except over all ids and 10 threads to see if it matches this goober

the answer is yes it does work (also I had to restart and in doing so I lowered the thread count from 10 to 4 as an optimization thing, because of how Unity's Random class is set up (poorly for my purposes), more threads is actually a bad thing

I wanted to have it search for scavenger body patterns and such but there’s so much code for that and I have to deal with offsetting the RNG system for each one and my system is sort of poorly designed for anything except floats. I might be able to do scavenger colors but it would be extremely slow to search and clunky to input values
I did add lantern mice color and vulture wing variations though
Also what I want to do in the future (probably not the initial release of the mod) is have some of the inputs be able to turn into color pickers or check boxes.

the program will only accept numbers as valid values
even for things that should be booleans (which I just made 0 and 1)
because I was too lazy (and it would be inefficient) to make separate checkbox inputs and such
also blame Unity for making their Random number generator static (shared with the entire game and between all threads) for why I can't make the mod more efficient. I have to force only one thread at a time to generate its random numbers and make the others wait (which I tried to make it so they can do their calculations in that time)

yeah Sympathy and Aggression don't seem to do anything to lizards, it mainly affects scavs and pups
from what I can tell from the wiki, all the personality traits do with lizards is that high-dominance lizors are harder to tame, and energetic white lizors are less likely to wait for ambushing

we'll see if I can get it working but this might be in the next major id search mod update (and also probably an elite version as well because they have slightly differing behaviors)
it will be a very computationally heavy process though
(this is how many random numbers it has to pull for each id, and I haven't tested its accuracy yet)
it's not going well but here's a red scav I found accidentally while trying to look for a blue one
it thinks the distance here is 0.03, it's actually ~0.6667 so I'm definitely messing up a calculation somewhere along the way.
holy crap I didn't know you could actually spear things in arena solely using your mouse (it's a bit hard tho)
apparently I'm overgenerating numbers, I generated up to n=68 looking for the colors for id 149 but the actual GenerateColors function finished with n=61
I'll look into that tomorrow when it's not 2am

you enter stats and then search and it gives you an id that has stats as close to those as possible

Scavs are the most complex creatures in the game, not just in AI but also in how they generate their graphics it’s seriously unreal and I have to offset the RNG so it will actually generate correctly and that’s a pain because how much I have to offset it varies

which admittedly shouldn't take long, before I made this mod and I was using a terribly made script for it, it only took like 30 minutes to find slugpup colors when searching over all ids

You can just put in 1 and it will find the closest value to 1. It just needs a number to get close to
also if you leave it blank it will ignore that trait
you only need as much precision as you want
so it uses the input value you put to find a value that isnt one of the last decimal place less then the current value
It tries to minimize the distance between your input and the actual values from the id
usually it will return something very close to your value
so if i say input 0.98 and the actual ID value is 0.97834738 it will return it?
so it will only return the value after aborting the process it doesnt write the ID while in work
when you abort the process it will return the closest value it could find in what it was able to search
if you let it run it will eventually return the closest value within the entire range

the abort button is only there because some user wanted the ability to cancel the search mid-way through

revamping the UI of my id finder mod to be more intuitive than just number inputs, replacing all the stuff in-code is tedious but the slugpup stats one is the worst so far since I had to manually compute the ranges from the calculations 
also side note for those people searching for slugpup stats, those tuples are the ranges for those inputs (unless I miscomputed one)

Yeah, Mouse Drag is best for deleting stuff
Either using the built-in delete, or dragging them outside the map, since pits will void things
I believe a few creatures like Leviathans also void things they attack but I'm not 100% on that
I know all Rot cysts definitely void anything they consume
there are some floors that have collision pretty far down and creatures can sometimes crawl out somehow
yes leviathans delete upon attack (not sure if its a full delete or not) however it is to be duely noted that when they attack a giant jelly the stuff isnt going to be deleted
HOWEVER!!!! for some reason beehives dont get deleted by the void and scavs hold them and even when doing that with other things if you are mass deleting stuff it will still lag your game if not deleted right so its not the solve all solution
rot cysts i (think) work but the rot isnt efficient so i havent used it before

yeah when theyre revived they tend to sweat and get exhausted causing seizures
its a similar state to starving

is this like something in the base game or did both mods do the same implementation
also the pups have eaten all the corn already
i dont know of a way to revive in base game beyond the respawn command so i think they both went for the same implementation

I think I read the beastmaster mod pretty much spawns the player as the class and then converts it to a pup with pup ai
if theyre low energy it can be funny but otherwise they just end up being hard to handle
which is why if you try duplicating it it just spawns a normal player

miros vultures are actually HORRENDOUS to kill
the eye beam hardly indicates where their explosive fires and theyre so sparratic you can hardly track one
the explosion beam triggers after each hit
i can barely notice the eye beam, I genuinely wonder why they didn't make it like KVs
make it visible ffs 
it doesnt even indicate where the explosive will go like 90% of the time
usually when theyre on the ground they cant aim luckily
but its
pretty hard to damage them enough
to get them grounded
Been there done that all you really need is a nice place to plop into before they fire
i just use stuff like jellyfish usually
if youre in an arena like the testing one i use you arent getting that spot
