It looks like you have Jolly Co-op enabled with Artificer set as your character choice at the top right in the campaign menu. Just disabling it through the Remix menu should solve it.

ill try that but I still don't understand why it's a problem, after exiting and resuming a few times it solved itself

Jolly Co-op being enabled in the Remix menu activates all of the multiplayer features even if you're just playing by yourself, and one of those features lets you pick whatever character you want to play as in a campaign. (So for example you could be playing the Hunter campaign with your friends as Monk, Survivor, and Gourmand.) So what's happing here is that your game is trying to run as a 1-player co-op session with player 1 controlling Artificer.
Technically you could just set your character to Survivor rather than Artificer in the Jolly Co-op menu (see below), but that would be more of a workaround than a fix.
