no, not like I had done that, since the first time I played the game it was like this, I only found out that it was buggy like that when I went to play at my friend's house, which has shiny symbols

Close the game and upload:
- exceptionLog.txt file that you can find on your root installation folder (next to the .exe, default Steam path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World). - If you are playing with custom regions via Custom Regions Support you should also send customWorldLog.txt.
- If you are using BepInEx, you should also send LogOutput.log which you can find in the BepInEx folder:
Rain World\BepInEx
To send the files, drag and drop them into the Discord window. Do not copy and paste the contents of the files.

there is a chance something about ur computer.. it cant display the shiny signs at all.... once apon a time updating my computer's graphics drivers! actually solved graphical bugs in my games.. in spore... as an example. lava was white and gray static.. and when i updated the graphics drivers on my pc.. the lava was fixed instantly!. check ur drivers.

So plants look to be using effect colour 1 on there when it should be effect colour 2

that is very peculiar indeed...
now. if absoultly nothing works. it could also be A a setting that got messed with in game. or B.. its a hardware issue..
well since there is no opetion in the options as far as i can tell. and im very sure
u uninstalled and delated all traces of mods and it still dont work.
my guess is it is likely a hardware issue. meaning one of ur hardware components in ur pc cant show the lights properly...
which mean the only fix would be to A trouble shoot ur pc parts. or B buy a new pc.

This seems like a hardware error, unfortunately. If your drivers are up to date, there's not much you can do
Maybe try installing Sharpener? It's a shot in the dark, but it might fix the shaders

Graphics card. Most likely, Rain World requires a feature that their graphics card/driver doesn't support. I'm guessing they're using a laptop with integrated graphics
