I'm not a fan of key items on passage :o I feel like passages are already very stronk and it's nice to encourage travelling back across the world if you have to get somewhere with an item?

Key Item Passage - Passages bring all key items in a shelter with you to the new destination, rather than just the stomach item

considering Passages are limited I'm honestly ok with it
but in normal gameplay, there are very few times where key item passage would be broken
maybe stockpiling 10,000 neurons in a shelter to warp to moon?
I guess it is really for that post-game/second playthrough extended goal run right
im also curious about the tick tock, sounds like something to help new players to notice is an actual clock (so many ppl doesnt realize that) but it comes off by default, which is odd, idk who would use it

I'm definitely on the fence about key item passages now that I understand what it's referring to lol, but I think it could be fine
grabbing the five neurons moon has and passaging to inside of pebs 
bring a cyan lizard with you to FP to complete Pilgrimage the way it was meant to be played 

oh, we should put limitations to some of these options for challenge runs when they come out
what if there were super secret fun settings and one of them was just carrying over all items in your current shelter upon passage,,
currently bringing anything any distance is a big deal, I remember pearl runs being a huge step for me personally

well I also feel like friend passages could be a vanilla thing, but idk if it is a thing or not
I don't really understand how anybody could enjoy more than a handful of pearl runs, since they're so tedious and repetitive... then again I didn't try any until I played Aether Ridge 1.5, lol, so that might've made me slightly bias
I like the idea that difficulty goes up over time due to regions visited :D
they're a fun challenge I guess! It was very daunting playing without spears or rocks
having to drop items on the ground to eat, then pick them up again etc
very fraught and tense, I'd say :D added another layer to the game
i hope dynamic dificulty makes previously visited regions harder
like, outskirts is so boring

I don't like "You can only play for this long" + I don't think it fits Rain World exploratory gameplay
especially with Downpour almost tripling the size of the map, good luck exploring with base cycle amount 
first point is personal thing so who cars, second one: you unlock humter after beating the game so at that point you should have a good idea of what the map is like
i will do that just to prove you wrong
Hunter still has unique spawns and some unique changes in several places
- probably even more with Downpour
with a cycle limit (or at least one as strict as the base one) you don't have time to take it all in
ic, but "several places" isnt really correct
its just lttm and pebs
there are smaller changes like a few inactive shelters
but thats about it
I did beat Hunter in my first attempt mind you, I just prefer being able to take it at my own pace
it's still several, and again Downpour is likely gonna add plenty more
and also i do think 24 cycles is enough

The option just makes them affected by darkness normally
vulture feathers and mask arent affected by darkness so they cant be sneaky, this fixes that

A lot of the silly ones were changes they were going to make permanent but didnāt want to piss off speedeunners and people who just donāt like the changes they added, or so I believe. A lot of the stuff was changed made in MSC

Yeah, most of what speedrunners are going to be worried about is stuff like deer skip and guardian skip; and scorerunners stuff like region doubling and vulture cheese. And all of that falls pretty squarely under vanilla exploits.
What does scav headshots do?
Scavs die if you hit them in the head with a spear

i hate that the "dialogue pauses rain" option spoils dialogue being in the game 
like, half of the options spoiler stuff

"None" is entirely different to how the game plays in 1.5 too, though.
If you're unsure, using the Classic preset should give you the closest to the 1.5 experience, sans bugs. But yeah, full restrictions haven't been determined yet.
Obviously though folks have more reason to be worried about the stuff that changes the mechanics

i had to enable stronger bottomless pit indicators because i kept going "oh! there's no visible pathway in this room and it's vertical, so there must be something.. there.." and instantly jumping into the void
there's a small darkening gradient, but it seems quite easy to miss it or to think that the pit is bottomless while it really isn't
i mean the indicator in vanilla is mostly is there a pole/pipe going down
i have barely ever seen that in downpour-specific rooms though
or maybe i just remember saint too well after having to play them twice, and there are lots of pipes like you mentioned
