Another overseer explains that it is an image of one of his beloved creatures, the Crow, dead. It appears to have been infected with traces of a strange organism..

I should also explain what the Crow is- It is, to summarize, a Miros Bird with feathers. It is much more docile than other Miros Birds and it was made to keep EFOTS company. It is one of his most treasured creations.

If the body remains in its current location, it will not recover. Instead, EFOTS' helper, Apollo, will retrieve the body and escort it to a shelter, where it will revive. EFOTS tells Apollo that this is the task he must accomplish, and sends you to accompany him.

I should probably also tell you all how this was supposed to go.

This was meant to be the world you moved through, from top right to bottom left.

Would've been quite simple actually. Right before Apollo left EFOTS would've given him a pearl. Said pearl would read,
"Thank you for crossing the ocean to save Pillars of Flame. Thank you for going on this quest, Apollo. And thank you for always sticking by my side, despite the difficult journeys I send you on."

#

Apollo would have the choice to give up this pearl at the scavenger toll, which would've been one of your first major choices.

#

After that would have been your second- above or across the lake.

#

Eventually you would have made your way to the Crow's body, ending the story. Incredibly simple.

Recently I have made some revisions to the lore, where Apollo would have been captured by IIOCC at the end, and given her special rot as a "gift."

#

That mostly wraps up what this was meant to be. Nothing special.
