The colored stuff is where the horizontal ground meets the vertical drawing space in the midground but you can still draw back behind it with some perspective taken into account
The black thorns are clearly the background and red would be the distant bg where I've got just colors and thorn pattern over top of it
Thorn bushes kinda arch around into inself, they curl around and circle through other branches making a tangled mess of branches and thorns. So I'm putting colors back there that would be on the thorns so it looks like the dense underbrush of a area
