The game just says this message.

it just says "Steam client application is required in order to play the game." bruh i did played literally the game alot of times before reinstalling it again and don't get issues on starting it..

I got the same problem. I haven't played for weeks if not months. Installed updates, complains about not being able to sync to cloud. Every time also mentions the above Steam Client application is required to play the game when I am literally launching the game from said Steam client.

i did played it 2-3 months ago and it never gived to me this issue too, this game is so weird all the bad optimizations and bad bugs and glitch are in this game wtf

Just installing the game again and will see if it helps at all. File integrity check that redownloaded one file did not help with the problem.

i didn't reinstalled it but i did installed it today

maybe could be because i did downloaded it yesterday and i did accidentally turned off the PC

lmao i think i did found the solution

it was literally here

this is the solution..

1. Make a shortcut to the game .exe (\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2\ph\work\bin\x64). I pinned it to Taskbar to make it easier.

2. Exit Steam completely.

3. Click the taskbar shortcut to attempt to launch the game. You'll get the same error message, but it will also launch Steam.

4. While Steam is in the process of launching, continually click the DL2 taskbar shortcut, then his Esc to immediately close the error dialog, and repeat.

5. Voila! After a few tries, the game will launch.

6. Laugh at how stupid this is.

me too updates doesn't works or maybe it would work with only a few games

also RTX 3090 is really new why buy graphic drivers so newer also when they need some optimizations <.<

they say that RTX series got alot of issues
