When you running at max raytracing settings, all ya gotta do to make it look real in photo mode is zoom in really far but move really far away from whatever your taking a pic of, try to make sure the sun isn't behind you but in front of you but not directly in front, set the f setting as low as possible to enhance the depth of field effect, and adjust the focus so that whatever your wanting to capture is in....focus.

Def should always try dx12 first and lower settings within that first before going down to dx11. Unless they have some features you can't disable that are automatically enabled when using dx12, it should give you much better performance as it eliminates a major bottleneck

3080 regular version

metro exodus and Control are the best looking raytraced games ive played so far though

controls reflections are just.......insane

even with dlss balanced at 2k I can't get anything playable with rt but it makes sense, I have a 2060, and that is the literal bare minimum

if inflation would go away I would've had a 3080 by now 100%

but now I am waiting for 40 series

to see what it looks like

i learned along time ago that it ends up costing more money when you buy the cheaper card

even though its a third person game and these objects are insanely small

you wouldnt think it, but if your planning on being into gaming most of your life, your gonna have to upgrade your pc at regular intervals, so the most cost effective way to do so is to find that sweet spot around the launch of the next generation of hardware, and when its nvidia you never go lower than a xx7x model, always go for the xx8x version

sure it costs alot up front, but you could keep using a 2080 twice as long as you could a 2060

in fact, i gave my 1080 away to my friend last year when i got my new pc. i was able to play all the newest games maxxed out (without raytracing of course) at 60fps, around 1620p-1440p resolution no problem. hes still using it on new releases even now, finally experincing VR without it being a stutterring, reprojected mess lol. if you cant afford that tier of card, your much better off getting a next gen console. you get alot more bang for your buck if your limited to that range of cards.

i was on god knows how many gpu waitings lists trying to buy parts the past two years and then noticed prices for prebuilds were insanely good, so i just bought a prebuilt system for the first time ever

the only thing i can figure out is that its just some REALLY intense ambient occlusion, global illumination, and the raytraced flashlight all working together to accidentally create real time shadows of a sort

would be nice for Techland to keep it on for photomode tho

One thing peep might not notice in games(especially this one) is how different the post process fx look on different resolutions

Like the depth of field blur for instance looks allot different at full 4k compared to lower resolutions or even 4k using dlss

Also got one hell of a raytracing on\off comparison. Really shows off just how drastic and subtle it can be when using raytraced sun soft shadows
