Well, the disaster relief packages can be dropped, but they cannot be picked up by anyone other than the one who dropped them.
It appears there are blue "survival packs" that can, in fact, be dropped and others can pick them up, but I recall reading they are the result of modders.

Y'know Infamy Bridge? It has lots of zombies during the day. Could molotov them or stand on a car and either head-stomp them or bonk them while they crowd around you. Now, when I went there at night, it seemed quite empty there—until later on. Somehow, hordes of zombies started appearing there at night. I don't know if it's due to a side-quest I did or due to my main story progression.

I would go there, kill one, camouflage (survivor skill) via its dead body, then keep snapping zombie necks (power skill that allows you to execute an enemy from behind) whilst periodically refreshing my camouflage from one of the dead bodies.

Infamy Bridge in the Slums has more zombies, though.

There is cross-generation support, though (I think PS5 can play with PS4, for example). And Steam players can play with Epic Games players.
