Try to make sure you go there at night time when there aren't many volatiles inside.
If you do decide to go at daytime then bring the following: ammo (max it out), a good AR (silenced, I use the dlc one that has a scope on it don't remember the name), aim for the head and don't stop shooting unless it on the floor, other ones may be alerted if it's able to scream. Also if you have any being the strongest weapon you got. (add bleeding and electricity to it)
I am guessing your weapons aren't very strong (around 500-600 damage) insta kill is a 20k+ weapon so go with the AR)

What about the AR? You craft it. You just need to find a rifle which since you are playing the dlc I am guessing you finished the story

you should be finding weapons that are way higher than 300 dmg if you're in the Following. Unless you started it way too early. either way, the quality and power of weapons depends on your Survivor level. You can increase that by farming drop packages at quarantine zones in the main campaign.
